In April of 2018, Leonardo DiCaprio of “Titanic,” “Wolf of Wall Street,” and “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” added a newly purchased property to his already impressive real estate portfolio. The Hollywood A-lister acquired a lavish Los Feliz residence on Red Oak Drive from musician Moby through a trust. The sale was closed at $4.91 million, and the estate titled Red Oak Manor reportedly served as home to a member of DiCaprio’s family. Now, the Oscar-winning actor is bidding farewell to the marvelous manor listing it at $5.75 million.

As his primary residence, it is reported that DiCaprio calls Malibu his home. First purchasing a house there in 1998, he paid $23 million for a more expansive 1.8-acre spread in 2016. Other notable properties he’s acquired consist of Madonna’s former home he purchased in the 1990s, a mid-century modern space in Palm Springs, a chic New York City apartment, a compound property on the Sunset Strip, and an island in Belize. Although the star boasts several impressive estates, he is equally generous with his property assets. Earlier this year, DiCaprio’s purchased a Los Feliz home from “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson for $7.1 million and gifted it to his mother. Additionally, he also paid $4.9 million for another Los Feliz home to gift his father.

Built in 1926, Red Oak Manor spans 4,644 square feet and features five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Located near the foothills of Griffith Park and beyond the gates of Los Feliz Oaks and its forested setting, the old-fashioned English style property has since been “restored and totally reimagined” by Moby. With its traditional custom millwork, groin-vault ceilings, and elaborate fireplaces, the contemporary makeover presents a new kitchen with marble countertops and walk-in pantry, formal dining, lofted study, gym, steam room, and a security system. The spacious common areas offer hardwood floors, high ceilings, and stately paned windows for a clean, neutral aesthetic with plentiful lighting.

On the upper level of the two-story home, the two primary suites offer theatrical drama with their marble bathrooms yet still evoke a comfortable feel. The guest suite has its own secret entrance with access to a full bath and steam room. Outside, the expansive exterior descends to a leafy space with a swimming pool, spa, patio, and al fresco dining area.

Bitcoin investors, Facebook-progenitors and former Olympic rowers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss are renting their minimalist Los Angeles mansion for a whopping $150,000 per month—and the social networking possibilities there are limitless. The sleek home is located in the Bird Streets area, tucked on a steep slope high above the Sunset Strip.

In fact, we’re not sure if any sleeping goes on in this house—unless it’s out of lust. The estate is a pure showstopper.

With easy open-air access via huge sliding glass doors, an L-shaped  negative-edge swimming pool, terraces, a tanning-shelf, a lounge with wet bar, media room and jaw-dropping panoramic "jetliner views" of L.A., this home is primed for partying all the time.

The Winklevosses (or Winklevi, as tandemly teased in the Oscar-winning The Social Network film) could probably practice rowing in the pool. The space could host a holiday party for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Angels, Lakers, Clippers, and Kings, and still have room leftover. The eventual renter could comfortably ride a bike through the home—and by bike we mean a Harley Davidson. It’s that big and open. The house should be converted into L.A.'s coolest nightclub.

Not exactly warm and cozy (sans the pool and fancy modern fireplaces), the home almost looks staged by two Alpha male perfectionists—down to the James Bond 007 scenes on the massive TV wall and underground garage for six luxury cars or even more crew racing shells.

The Winklevoss Facebook settlement with Mark Zuckerberg elevated the twins to the top 1%.

The venture capitalist identical twin brothers who claimed their Harvard classmate Zuckerberg stole their idea for Facebook (and eventually settled for $65 million), bought the home in 2012 for $18 million (not bad for pseudo-inventors). Even though Zuckerberg's determination sealed their legacy, the twins and Zuckerberg aren't likely Facebook friends.

We can only wonder where and how the Winklevoss twins upgraded after this home. But we’re sure the trailer of the next James Bond film is paused in their new media room.

The property’s serene, woodsy backyard hideaway and the cascading waterfall over a koi pond transform the home into a canyon oasis—a perfect secluded refuge from the fast-paced “Strip.”

Bateman, 45, and his wife Amanda Anka (daughter of “My Way” singer-songwriter Paul Anka) bought the residence in 2002 for $885,000, according to the Los Angeles Times. The property was listed by Bateman’s boyhood friend, Richard Ehrlich of Westside Estate Agency. We don’t think Bateman seeks a bigger home to contain his ego because, by all accounts, he’s considered one of Hollywood’s most down-to-earth and nicest celebrities. It’s more likely that recent successes and two growing kids demand more space.

Bateman is the younger (and now more accomplished) brother of actress Justine Bateman who starred in the hit TV series Family Ties. He is known for ascerbic, quick-witted "straight-man" characters (with deadpan glares), especially in ensemble buddy films. His résumé has elevated him to Hollywood’s comedian A-list—an honor that’s made him a go-to humorous sidekick in sleeper film hits such as Juno, Up in the Air, Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief. In 2013, he made his directorial debut for the film Bad Words.

It appears Bateman is wandering elsewhere, with his humility and family in tow, after living and investing in the home for 12 years.
