Hernan Arriaga: "A house well done is a house that is completely functional and balanced. It flows from room to room and there is a sense from beginning to end... I tend to leave a lot of organic materials around my projects. They generate an immediate warmth because people get related to them, (the products) make them feel comfortable."

Shanna Gatanis: "What I'm hearing from fellow friends in development, design and real estate is that markets are moving, and there's some excitement for all of us to see some really positive changes for families and better ways that we can cater to them on a wellness perspective and smart design."

Steven La Fonte: "What I'm noticing now more over this past year is a trend a little bit more towards traditional. It was very modern and and contemporary for a while... I see the remainder of 2020 and going into 2021 as being (that) people want to be more comfortable at home, and having more amenities at their home as well."

The residence was designed by STA Architectural Group. “The award-winning team at STA Architectural Group has traveled the world to source the most unique and desirable materials to apply to the floors, walls, countertops, vanity tops and even the baseboards of The Penthouse,” said Michael Goldstein, president of sales for Acqualina Realty. “People who buy a $38 million penthouse want to walk in the door and not have to do anything but enjoy it.”

Most recently, STA Architectural Group won the 2019 SBID International Design Excellence Award for Redesign Over £1 Million for The Penthouse.

The multi-million dollar custom design of The Penthouse by Luxury Living/Fendi Casa covers the marble flooring of the unit. The terraces, Crestron motorized window shades, intrusion monitoring system, climate controls with digital thermostats, custom-designed decorative light fixtures and ceilings up to 15’ and 30’ in some areas.

“Among the collections that were selected for this penthouse include Fendi Casa, Bentley Home, Trussardi Casa and Paul Mathieu,” said Ricardo Britto, director of interior design & projects with Luxury Living of USA. “Some of my favorite custom-designed pieces are Fendi Casa’s Artu Sofa and Fendi Casa’s Piano Bar in taupe-toned crocodile-embossed leather.”

A glass-bottom pool 600 feet above ground makes a unique experience in high-rise swimming. It has hundreds of tiles handcrafted in and imported from Wales.

The Penthouse comes with the keys to a Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV, named after the Cullinan Diamond, the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever discovered. The residence also comes with a Lamborguini Aventador. Both vehicles fit very well in a private two-car garage reserved for The Penthouse.

The family kitchen has a La Cornue 60” gas range, custom-designed cabinetry with a rolling steel ladder, large center island with Kohler stainless steel sink, Sub-Zero 36’’ refrigerator and freezer, Sub-Zero 18’’ wine cooler, Miele dishwasher and Miele microwave oven. A separate catering kitchen will have black granite countertops, Miele wall-mounted combo steam oven and Kohler stainless steel sink, among other features.

The Master Suite has a midnight bar with sink, refrigerator and marble countertops; his and hers dressing rooms with custom cabinetry including closets with pull-out drawers and shelves; his and hers bathrooms with onyx vanity tops, onyx steam shower enclosure, custom stone sinks with Dornbacht fixtures, under-mount air bath with custom marble surround tub.

The amenities at The Mansions at Acqualina are second to none.
