Georgina Jacobson: "Things are slowly opening up. Gyms are open, nail salons, and restaurants for outdoor dining, so we're feeling a little bit more of a sense of normalcy. With that said, we are seeing real estate is definitely very active. If I look at January last year 2020 and compare it to this year, we have a decrease in listings down by 38% which is kind of interesting, but the sales volume comparing that same time is only down by 3%. So the market is very active. We really have adjusted and pivoted to all of the proper protocols. I feel like our business is a lot more efficient because we're pre-qualifying people and really doing a lot of virtual open houses, instead of the traditional open houses."

Catherine Burgess: "To me, it seems like we will have a moderate moderate increase in sales possibly, but we will continue to maybe have this by greater buyer demand that could create appreciation, not just this year, but maybe next year as well. It appears to me like this, for us locally, appears to be the best seller's market in the last 20-25 years. The general inkling that we are seeing is that by the midpoint in the year there will be an increase in supply, and so, if it's possible for them to get to the market where there's this massive pent-up buyer demand right now, that makes a lot of sense. They will get so many more eyes on their property, which is not to say it won't sell later, but I don't know that we will have the same amount of demand that we have currently."

Kelly Ringer-Radetich: "Just in Redwood City, we only have 37 homes on the market [as of today]. Inventory is very tight. Things are moving and they're moving quickly. I also represent sellers, as well as listings, and I wrote an offer for a couple two weeks ago, and there were 27 offers on one property. You have one buyer take that home, you still 26 others still looking for a place, so that's where our challenges right now, definitely on the inventory and availability. It's very common to start seeing more come on to the market right after Super Bowl weekend. We are seeing a little bit, but we have more demand from the buyers right now, and I'm sure a lot of that is because our interest rates have continued to remain very low. Over the last year, if people weren't shopping, they were obviously saving because they were locked up somewhere, so they weren't out and about with vacations and wining and dining. So I think a lot of them have just decided to invest and real estate is where they're turning."

David Hatef: "Inventory is actually pretty comparable to where it was in January 2020. Properties between $1-2.5 million in DC Proper, new pending contracts are up 43% from January 2020, whereas the bucket of $2.5-5 million is up 80% from January 2020. Even though inventory is fairly comparable to the same time last year, there's just such an incredible demand, and you can see it in the prices as well prices are beginning to escalate pretty rapidly, it's definitely having an impact. Particularly in the detached house market, there are multiple offers on basically anything that comes up. Things are moving within three-to-four days; 60-70 showings within a few days is pretty standard around. "

How did the real estate market look in the beginning of 2020?

The market was slow and has continually picked up Redwood City right through October 2020, in the last week a slowing but this is traditionally usual with Holidays. For a pandemic, Redwood City has had a phenomenal year.

What, if any, changes did the pandemic have on prices?

Prices have continued to go up and hold steady in the condo market. Condo Markets not as busy but still selling.

On inventory? The highest peak was in September but inventory is still less than 3 months' supply.

Angela Lutzi Dellatorè: "Naples, Fort Myers and Bonita Springs, it's very busy here... People want to spread out, they want space, and we provide that... In this kind of market, it's important how to use technology to sell properties... ... It's a great rental market on top of everything else... We have seen a huge increase [in demand]. January through April is busy no matter what's going on elsewhere, but we saw an increase in 2020 right off the bat. Once COVID-19 hit, we thought nothing would happen, and in fact, the opposite occurred; the traffic increased... People are looking to spread out to have a space where they can easily go outside during the winter months."

Leslie S. Modell: "Since mid-June, the amount of traffic from the buyers has definitely picked up. I wouldn't say it's an avalanche, but I would say it's a nice pickup from what we have been experiencing since the middle of March... The waiting game is not going to work in New York. Better to get out now and get something sold before the Fall... As a New Yorker and anyone else around the country, this is a great time to buy. I have not since prices or rates this low in a long time. To anyone around the country that is thinking about buying a home in New York: this is the time to buy. The numbers are ticking up again. The Hamptons homes are selling at top dollar."

Kelly Ringer-Radetich: "We are busy here in the peninsula, which is South San Francisco, on down south towards Stanford, all the way through down to Palo Alto, and then Silicon Valley and San Jose. We are seeing multiple offers; people want to get into a single-family residence, something that has more privacy with a yard and space... Younger couples and professionals come in, wanting to start out and get their foot in the door owning property along the marina here... Here along the peninsula, we have a great job market. It's what allows people to be able to come here and afford this area."

Darlene Streit: "It is as busy as I've ever seen real estate in Santa Fe. The closings at Sotheby's last month were equal to 2006-2007 numbers. We have not seen these numbers since then. The overall MLS numbers are about on par with last year. The fact that Sotheby's is ahead in the high-end [market] shows that there are a lot of high-end buyers coming... We are seeing more and more buyers over $3 and $4 million, and we would have many more sales if we had houses to sell them because we have a lot of people just waiting to find a house. It's a very, very tight inventory because everything is selling. It's very busy and people are just coming in from everywhere."

Shelton Wilder: "I'm seeing people coming here from New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. The people here are going to Santa Barbara, Arizona, Florida, Texas and Charleston... Home sales have skyrocketed. People are wanting to leave condos going to single-family [homes]... Some properties are going $400,00 to $500,000 over asking price. Anything under $3 million is going. All of our listings sell in less than 30 days, sometimes just a few days... Rates are low, dropped below 3% now for 30-year fixed. And then there's still really low inventory on in Los Angeles... Home has never been more important. It's a huge privilege to help clients with where they're going to live and building their wealth."
