American television personality Nicole Richie, adopted daughter of Lionel Richie and Karen Moss, rose to fame in the early 2000s with the reality series “The Simple Life.” Throughout her teenage years, Richie became synonymous with thousand-dollar outfits, and a highly publicized and glamorized lifestyle alongside her childhood friend and socialite Paris Hilton. In 2010, Richie married Joel Madden of Good Charlotte and is the mother of two children, Harlow and Sparrow Madden. Now, Richie primarily concentrates on her role as creative director at lifestyle brand House of Harlow 1960.

On May 26, the celebrity couple sold their Beverly Hills abode to renowned musical artist Adele. Reportedly, Adele purchased several Bel Air properties with the intent to create a private compound. Richie and Madden’s 5,515 square foot former home was settled at a price of $9.95 million. However, the news that was not reported at the time was on May 13 when Richie had already closed another deal on an even larger Beverly Hills mansion for a $10.15 million.

Built in 1987, Richie and Madden’s newfound 6,100-square-foot space has been recently redesigned by married duo and SIMO Design co-founders Sam Gnatovich and Alexi Rennalls. The five bedroom, six bath residence was inspired by historical Parisian architecture and the Chanel flagship store in Paris. Stepping inside, the home opens to an elegant curving stairway to contrast its box like exterior structure. Distinctive design features include immense pocket doors and clean lines combined with more traditional crown molding. Throughout the home, marble serves as a key element from the kitchen island to the bath to various fireplaces around the property. Stepping outside, the 0.36-acre exterior presents a pool, hot tub, lush landscape, and mature olive trees shading the comfortable lounge area.

Paris Hilton, the 2000s “it girl,” is now back in the limelight with her new Netflix reality show “Cooking with Paris.” The 40-year-old great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels, is offering a glimpse into her glamorized version of domesticity with cooking sessions alongside celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Demi Lovato. In the first episode of her series, Hilton expressed her desire to start a family soon after her upcoming wedding. Since 2019, Hilton has been romantically involved with author and entrepreneur Carter Reum. The pair got engaged in February with a custom emerald-cut engagement ring. Following an extravagant 10-outfit wedding ceremony, Hilton states, “I feel like I’ve been living like a 21-year-old for my entire life, and now I’m ready to move on.”

Evolving from her self-invented “Barbie airhead” persona, Hilton is prepared to settle down and lead a more simple lifestyle. The socialite and her new fiancé recently purchased an intended permanent residence together. Their newfound abode is a Malibu mansion in California previously owned by the late Universal Pictures former chairman Tom Pollock. The seaside property was sold for $8.4 million and Chris Cortazzo of Compass represented both the buyer and the seller in this deal.

Built in 1955, Hilton’s newly acquired abode boasts three bedrooms and three baths. The interior features an open floor plan for an expansive and airy atmosphere. On the first floor, the layout highlights a spacious living room, media room, and dining room with fireplace. The contemporary kitchen where she has filmed “Cooking with Paris” is equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, granite countertops, and sweeping ocean views. Decorative elements of the home comprise of stone tile floors and floor-to-ceiling windows spanning 3,000-square-feet for plentiful sunlight.

Upstairs, the primary suite includes wood floors, a cozy fireplace, a spa-like stone tiled bath, and two oceanfront balconies with a jacuzzi and lounge areas. The wraparound deck lined with barbecues and outdoor dining space offer a staircase that descends directly onto La Costa beach. Other luxe amenities of the Malibu home consist of a two-car garage, an outdoor shower, a walled garden, and sunrise-to-sunset oceanic scenery.

Music producer and Haute Living cover star DJ Khaled has sold his Beverly Hills home for $12.5 million through an off-market deal.

Khaled purchased the home from British pop star Robbie Williams in 2016 for $9.9 million. The 10,681-square-foot property holds a total of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Built in 1992, the French-Chateau home sits on almost three-fourths of an acre with scenic views of Beverly Hills.

Located in the gated Mulholland Estates community in Beverly Hills, other residences in the celebrity-filled area include Kendall Jenner, Paris Hilton, and Christina Aguilera.

The over-the-top residence features tented private seating area, accordion-style glass doors, and walled mirrors as common design elements. The outdoor area has a huge stone patio which surrounds the pool. Other outdoor amenities include a spa, a gym, a study area, a media room, a fireplace, and a balcony of the primary bedroom.

DJ Khaled’s home was purchased by famous plastic surgeon David Amron and his wife, Jessica.

Paris Hilton has dwelled from penthouse to jailhouse to outhouse and, most recently, to the doghouse. After a hiatus from the spotlight (compared to the Kardashians), the native New Yorker snagged a $4.9 million Greenwich Village penthouse pad at 738 Broadway for herself and her oft mentioned roommates—seven dogs, including a $13,000 Pomeranian pooch, amazingly named “Prince Hilton the Pom” (self-awareness is apparently very important for a famous dog’s self-esteem).

738 Broadway is located in NoHo, a vibrant section of Greenwich Village.

The 33-year-old’s centrally-located Noho penthouse loft (Unit PH at 738 Broadway near Astor Place) occupies the top floors of the Broadway McKenna building, a former cast-iron warehouse built in 1867, which was converted and reimagined by architect Karl Fisher and interior designer Andres Escobar into full-floor contemporary apartments earlier this year. The building is home to just four residences, which offer mixed layouts: two 2,400-square-foot two-bedroom condos, a 3,200-square-foot three-bedroom duplex, and Hilton's two-bedroom penthouse with private rooftop terrace.

Granted, Hilton is an heir to the Hilton Hotels & Resorts fortune (she's the granddaughter of founder Conrad Hilton), so she technically could have a place to crash anywhere in the world in perpetuity--whether she snatched up homes on both U.S. coasts or not. She could also stand idly by, collecting a hefty inheritance check. Sure, she took full advantage of high society life. She tried it all. But eventually, the glamorous life got the best of Paris Hilton.

The dog lover, who gave Kim Kardashian the blueprint for capitalizing on fame as a “celebutante,” has barely blipped the radar in recent years. Following these highly-publicized legal issues and an excruciatingly painful interview with Late Show host David Letterman who only asked her about going to jail, Hilton has kept a lower profile—as much as any famous paparazzi-seeking club goer could.

Hilton’s greatest talent may be her heredity, but she’s successfully mastered marketing herself. She’s an experimental DJ; an occasional club-hopper; a part-time actress, singer and voiceover artist; and a full-time pitch woman (her 17 perfumes have reportedly surpassed more than $2 billion in sales!). Perhaps she has graduated from celebutante to a truly mature socialite? If so, the few residents of 738 Broadway will have a classier neighbor—with seven barking dogs, one of which is a prince. Let’s hope the walls are soundproof and the dog walkers are plentiful in Greenwich Village's NoHo neighborhood.
