Serbian tennis tycoon, and household name, Novak Djokovic, scored both at Wimbledon and in Miami, recently, after winning the elite tennis tournament for the sixth time in a row and selling his luxury condo on Miami Beach. Djokovic honors his seemingly lucky number, six, by serving up his elevated Miami Beach condo and ultimately selling the Renzo Piano-designed home for $6 million. The pretty price tag of Djokovic’s former home is attributed to its prime location on the, more coveted now than ever, Miami Beach coastline, and the sleek and classic, spacious unit itself. Djokovic had owned the glass and hardwood-adorned luxury residence for nearly four years before it closed in 2021. Djokovic purchased the unit for $5.77M in the spring of 2017, and since then, a lot has changed. Djokovic now boasts a six-time Wimbledon championship streak (doubling his former three-time streak of 2017), and of course, has since cashed in on his gorgeous former Miami home.

The Miami Beach condo, as previously mentioned, features the exquisite and elegant architectural designs of Renzo Piano, and is one of two units owned by Djokovic designed by the Pritzker-winning architect. Djokovic first locked down a Piano-designed SoHo, Manhattan unit before investing in his beachside condo at Eighty Seven Park in Miami. For a tennis pro like Djokovic, only the best will do; the Miami Beach condo greets guests with a photo-worthy view. Palm trees and greenery line the entrance hall both catching the eye whilst blending seamlessly with the neutral-toned interior, and viridescent furniture accents. The masterfully constructed building is an elliptical-shaped glass tower that appears buoyant over the garden and the Atlantic Ocean below. Djokovic’s former 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom condominium unit comes complete with sophisticated 10-foot tall ceilings, walls of glass, an open floor plan, and a minimalist yet elevated and polished dining room which leads straight on to the most unforgettable 1,715-square-foot wraparound terrace from which residents can view the stunning Miami Beach skyline. The entire condominium space exudes a clean-cut and refined energy with neutral-toned palettes, open space areas, and classic lines and furnishing. Amenities offered by the building include a gated park, a superb and stylized expansive botanical garden, and of course, Djokovic’s beloved tennis courts are located just across the street.

According to the listing, Carlo Dipasquale with Cervera Real Estate and Wendy Mendoza with Cayhill and Dumott Realty represented the top-tier tennis pro, while Joyce Gato with Douglas Elliman represented the South Florida oceanfront condo’s buyer.

Novak Djokovic continues to ascend the path of success, and we cannot wait to see which championship, and potentially real estate investment, he scores next.

In 2019, Djokovic purchased the lavish unit at Eighty-Seven Park in North Beach. Although his purchase was prior to the completion of the property in late 2019, he acquired the space at $5.8 million from the developer, an affiliate of David Martin’s Terra. In February of this year, the tennis pro listed his opulent home on the market for $6,199,000. Several months later, Djokovic’s Universe Collins Investment LLC sold the property at a slightly reduced final price of $6 million. The buyer has not been revealed.

The grand condominium building was designed by award-winning architect Renzo Piano, Rena Dumas Architecture Intérieure, and WEST 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture. Miami Developer David Martin of Terra Group completed the 66-unit, 18-story oceanfront tower at 8701 Collins Avenue in North Beach in November of 2019. The glass structure is uniquely shaped as an elliptical and offers picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Djokovic’s former residence in unit 901 of the glamorous condominium spans 2,233 square feet of living space and includes three-bedrooms and three-and-a-half-bathrooms. The interior highlights an open floor plan with walls of glass, 10-foot ceilings, and a 1,715-square-foot wraparound terrace. The minimalist style kitchen is equipped with ultramodern appliances, natural stone countertops, and an island with bar seating. The dining area sits adjacent to the kitchen and features a sliding glass door leading to the terrace. The master suite also includes access to the terrace as well as an ensuite bath with a stand-alone tub, glass shower, and dual vanities. The building offers a private, gated park with botanical exhibition. Other luxe amenities consist of a spa, fitness center, two oceanfront pools, cabanas, restaurant, and wine bar.

Carlo Dipasquale with Cervera Real Estate and Wendy Mendoza with Cayhill and Dumott Realty represented the seller. Joyce Gato with Douglas Elliman represented the buyer.
