The Standard reveals their first-ever residential project, The Standard Residences. In the heart of Midtown Miami, the development will be located in one of the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods between the Design District and Wynwood.

The Standard Residences features 12 floors of residences and amenity spaces. Two hundred and twenty-eight pied-à-terre-style studios, one-bedrooms, one-bedrooms plus den, and two-bedrooms make up the collection of residences. Each residence is finished with light wood plank tile flooring and a gourmet kitchen with Italian cabinetry and Bosch appliances. The bathrooms are oversized and showcase stone vanities and double-suite rain showers.

At sidewalk level, the lobby is designed to interact with the streetscape. It will be a place where residents can connect, work, recharge, and unwind with areas to plug in or host informal meetings. The lobby café connects to an outdoor terrace and will serve cappuccinos, pastries, and fresh juices.

With a mix of amenities that are both energizing and relaxing, The Sweat Room offers a steam room, an infrared sauna, and a fully equipped yoga and stretch studio. The Stadium includes a pickleball court that doubles as a disco party room. Residents can play America’s fastest-growing sport in the comfort of an air-conditioned setting and then boogie-down the rest of the night. Social Lounge 21 is The Standard’s social floor that features a karaoke bar, screening room, fully equipped co-working spaces, zoom rooms, and a private boardroom.

On top of the building is a lushly landscaped rooftop. Here is where the 60-foot, resort-style sunset pool will be located. There will be direct access from the pool to The Standard’s signature rooftop restaurant and bar.

The Standard Residences combines a careful consideration of design, detail, and service with playfulness and fun to create an ‘anything but standard’ experience. This project was brought to life through the partnerships of Rosso Development and Midtown Development. Interiors were designed by renowned firm Urban Root in collaboration with The Standard’s in-house design team.

Acclaimed real estate developer and avid art collector, Aby Rosen melded his two passions with a celebrity-studded unveiling of a specially commissioned artwork for his latest modernist tower, 100 East 53rd Street.

The piece, titled Panorama of New York and gracing the building’s lobby, reveals the creative aesthetic of celebrated artist, Rachel Feinstein. Blending key New York City landmarks, the canvas exhibits a somewhat gloomy yet undeniably imposing character, awash in gray and sepia tones.

“The work is a fantastical dreamscape of the city, and a beautiful gift to our future residents,” 100 East 53rd Street Instagram page reads.

With Hudson Yards out west, and all the new buildings popping up on 57th and farther downtown, Hell’s Kitchen in Midtown can often feel a little stale in the real estate world: enter Charlie West.

At 505 West 43rd Street, this condo complex is bring a contemporary, innovative design to the neighborhood, looking to be the much-needed spur to get this slice of midtown in line with the ever-growing modern trend in New York today. Andres Escobar has worked as interior designer and gave the building the modern edge it needed to rise to this level of success by bringing together natural and man made materials like wood, metal, and concrete to build the lobby and common areas. Following the trend of so many others, the building is aiming to be more than just a series of condos by adding resort styled amenities to the building, like a pool, expansive terraces, and a great library to offer residents whatever they might need.

The building offers a range of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. Pricing begins in the high $700,000s with 2-bedrooms starting under $2 million, a rarity in Manhattan new construction. Charlie West is a co-development between the Elad Group, the New York arm of one of the world’s leading luxury real estate development firms, and Mi&Co, a New York-based developer. Cantor-Pecorella is the exclusive sales and marketing firm for Charlie West. The project is slated for late 2018 completion.
