Many Manhattan buildings incorporate art into their architecture, whether it be in their lobbies and public amenity spaces or in creating world-class art hanging and viewing options inside homes. But one thing not all buildings can offer in the art world is direct views of the stunning museums in Manhattan.

New York City has some of the top museums in the world, most of which are massive budgets, starchitect-designed buildings that are art in themselves. Therefore, views of these creations are art in themselves, not to mention if you have a view of these museums, you are also in close proximity to viewing their collections on a daily basis.

Overlooking the American Museum of Natural History
101 West 78th Street, Upper West Side

This year's Met Museum rooftop exhibit––poised in the center of The Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden––is not as ostentatious as Jeff Koons' giant balloon dogs from 2008, or Tomas Saraceno's futuristic "Cloud City" structure from 2012, though it boasts a delicate, elegant appeal of its own.

A garden maze-modernist building hybrid, Dan Graham's "Hedge Two-Way Mirror Walkabout" features the artist's signature two-way mirrored glass walls set in curves of steel, snaking through Swiss landscape architect Gunther Vogt's lush ivy hedgegrows.

The combination creates a "visually complex environment" for viewers as it generates awe-inspiring, picturesque reflections of visitors and skyscrapers visible from the Museum's peak.
