According to the New York Post, the full-floor condo at 508 West 24th Street is located in architect/developer Cary Tamarin’s new 10-story, 15-unit complex in West Chelsea’s Meatpacking District, overlooking the trendy High Line—a 1.45-mile-long linear park that replaced an old freight rail line. The building is designed in the spirit of West Chelsea’s industrial-era warehouses which have been transformed into trendy condos, art galleries, restaurants—creating one of Manhattan’s most desired neighborhoods.

Carmelo Anthony will reportedly combine two condo units at 508 West 24th Street, which he bought for a total of $11 million.

Word on the mean streets suggests Anthony and La La nabbed two fifth floor apartments, which they will combine for one full-floor 4,556-square-foot home. Individual units feature private elevator access, 10-foot ceilings, expansive living and dining areas, white oak floors, and custom walnut and Calacatta Gold marble kitchens and bathrooms. Master bedroom suites include luxurious spa baths and private dressing rooms. The building also has a gym, rooftop terrace and ground floor retail space.

The 6-foot-8-inch Anthony will likely sleep in a longer bed than this, and in a more spacious bedroom.

As a premier NBA shooter, Anthony finally pinpointed his home—where the action is. Anthony is familiar with intense action, as the franchise player carrying the Knicks nightly in the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. Anthony, who tested free agency after last season, hedged his bet—renting a Fifth Avenue apartment on Museum Mile reportedly for $29,000 per month—as he contemplated playing elsewhere. Once his franchise shopping concluded (re-signing with the Knicks), it was time to house hunt. He toured several penthouses, including downtown’s most expensive apartment atop SkyLofts. But he and La La eventually settled on the trendier Meatpacking area, where delicious restaurants rule and fashionable models and entertainers hang.

Anthony was the New York Knick's sole representative at the 2015 All-Star Game (hosted at his MSG office), which will surely go down as the highlight of his season. Unfortunately for him, the Knicks season is a total disaster and his knee injury may end his season as well. At least he can rehab in his building’s new gym—that is, when the shame of the Knick’s abysmal season wears off. That will take a while, perhaps until next season. But at least he's finally scored a permanent home. That's worth more than another meaningless three-pointer in a lost season.

Movie star couple Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde traded up before listing their two-bedroom, 2.5 bath Chelsea apartment for nearly $4 million recently, just eight months after the birth of their son, Otis.

Actors Jason Sudeikis and fiancée Olivia Wilde put are aiming for a $777,000 profit on the home they bought in 2012.

The 1,670-square-foot corner unit boasts ample light, 13-foot ceilings and great views of the Meatpacking District.

The actors bought the modest (by celebrity standards) Meatpacking District apartment at 66 Ninth Avenue in 2012 for $3.23 million. Listing agent Ann Cutbill Lenan of Douglas Elliman real estate told media outlets that the couple “moved on to a bigger place.” (we’re guessing literally and figuratively).

Sudeikis earned his comedic wings via brash and cocky characters as a featured “not ready for primetime player” on Saturday Night Live before graduating to become a bonafide A-list comedy movie star in successful movies such as Horrible Bosses and We’re the Millers. New York City-born Wilde achieved international stardom television shows such as The O.C. and House M.D., and then in films such as Cowboys & Aliens.

When you consider the actors’ skyrocketing careers and a son who’s about to test out his walking shoes, it’s understandable why the family flew the Chelsea coop—despite what’s generally considered a spacious pad by Manhattan standards. But once you've gone Hollywood, standards change. Sudeikis and Wilde, who can play the game in Hollywood or New York appear to have left the Meatpacking District's High Line for the high life. Who could blame them?

The star couple's apartment is modest by celebrity standards.

Space aside, the listed 1,670-square-foot corner unit in Chelsea could offers few A-list frills outside of expansive views, 13-foot ceilings, walk-in closets, custom Italian cabinetry and high-end appliances. The apartment (across from Chelsea Market) could very well pass for a business executive’s bachelor pad with access to a public roof deck, a fitness center and bike storage.

Wilde gained fame on the TV show House M.D. while Sudeikis honed his chops as a featured player on SNL.

The New York couple are engaged and have an eight-month old son.

The apartment is located in the Porter House, a conversion building (actually an expansion of an industrial building to condos) designed by SHoP architects and built in 2003--named for the "porterhouse" cut of steak in a nod to the Meatpacking District. According to Douglas Elliman Real Estate, the base of the building is a yellow-brick Renaissance Revival warehouse structure originally erected in 1905. Meanwhile, the condo conversion rests on top of the warehouse--disguised as a dark zinc-façade box with vertical lighting elements as large as some of its windows. The agency calls these oversized windows "visible beacons" that resemble "lines of barcode."

The Porter House building offers a prime location near Hudson River Park's walking and bike paths, dog runs and green spaces as well as High Line Park, Chelsea Piers recreation center, restaurants, clubs and art galleries.

Listing agent Lenan correctly calls the neighborhood “hip” and the Sudeikis-Wilde apartment itself “sunny.” Since SNL alum Sudeikis is a rising comedy star, the apartment may also have traces of funny left behind. So whoever buys it, the joke may be on them. In this case, that would be a good thing.
