The three-time Grammy-winning artist purchased his Coral Gables mansion in 2018 for $19 million. Anthony bought the home from Hilda Maria Bacardi, great-great granddaughter to the founder of the titular liquor company, who spent eight years overseeing its construction. In 2016, the finished home was listed on the market for $27.26 million. A year later, the price was reduced to $25 million before Anthony purchased the property at an even lower price of $19 million.

Anthony’s real estate journey has come full circle as he bids farewell to his former home. In September of 2020, the Coral Gables property was listed at $27 million. When the steep asking price failed to attract potential buyers, the cost was lowered to $22.4 million and the deal was closed.

Designed by Rafael Portuondo, the 20,546 square foot mansion spans 1.3 acres and features 12 bedrooms, 13 full bathrooms, and two powder rooms. The Mediterranean style interior highlights a lavish living space, formal dining room, family room, eat-in kitchen with dual islands, and butler’s pantry. The master suite presents a seating area and two bathrooms. Decorative elements of the home include coffered ceilings, arched doorways, and windows with natural lighting pouring into every room. Other perks include an elevator, wine cellar, gym, and staff quarters. The property set on the exclusive Islands of Cocoplum offers scenic views of the Coral Gables Waterway and gardens. Outdoor entertainment options include a summer kitchen, covered terraces, a heated pool, and a spa.

For some stars, hiring a designer or even hunting for furniture pieces themselves is still too hands off.

Brad Pitt worked for four years with Designer Frank Pollaro to craft the Pitt-Pollaro collection.

Displayed in a Chelsea gallery in 2012, the collection consists of limited-edition, signed and numbered beds, chairs, tables, and even a tub.

According to the collection's description, the pieces were all designed by Pitt, built by Pollaro, and made in the USA.

One of their first collaborations was a bed. Made of unique wood, nickel, and farm-raised stingray skins, the bed incorporates convenient moveable bedside tables.

The property belonged to Hilda Maria Bacardi, scion of the Bacardi liquor company and sister of chairman Facundo Bacardi, who also owns a home in the upscale enclave.

Resting on 1.3 acres behind private gates on the Islands of Cocoplum, the custom-designed property – dubbed Casa Costanera – arrived on the market in August 2016, shortly after it was completed.

After the residence languished without any prospective buyers, the price dropped some $3 million. And yet, the $19 million Anthony parted with constitutes the highest price ever paid for a single- family home in Coral Gables.

The 21,000-square-foot main house features three kitchens, a commercial elevator and a wine cellar among other high-end amenities. The property, which has over 400 feet of water frontage and a 100-feet dock, also boasts separate staff quarters, a guesthouse and a swimming pool.

According to the Miami Herald, Bacardi assumed ownership of 300 Costanera Road back in 2002 and commenced the construction of the lavish Mediterranean- style residence in 2008. Some six years later, she listed the home, while still being built, for $18 million.

The Real Deal reported that Anthony’s new digs are a mere 2 miles away from another prominent Coral Gables resident, former Yankees player Alex Rodriquez, who is now dating Lopez.

Anthony listed the massive 10-bedroom, eight bathroom brick manor in the exclusive Brookville area (on Long Island’s North Shore) that he once shared with ex-wife singer/actress Jennifer Lopez and their twins for $12 million. Recently remarried to Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima, Anthony now unloads two homes from his past.

Bought in 2000 for $3.7 million, the sprawling 10,084-square-foot compound at 3 Country Lane in Glen Head, NY, covers eight-plus acres with a matching Georgian-style pool house, colonial-style guesthouse, a carriage house, an oversized pool, and a tennis court. The main home, built in 1941, features a professional recording studio (of course), a mahogany-paneled library, a home theater, five powder rooms, eight fireplaces, and a huge master bathroom with its own personal fireplace. Late last fall, Anthony put his Spanish-style mansion in Encino, CA on the market for $2.75 million. That six-bedroom, nine-bathroom residence at 17230 Silver Lane features a guest suite, gourmet chef kitchen, home theater, wine room, indoor-outdoor bars, and curiously, another master spa-like bathroom with a fireplace (and a flat screen TV). The gorgeous 6,263-square-foot home immediately impresses with its grand foyer with soaring cathedral ceilings and private, resort-style backyard.
