In Bonhomme Universe, he re-located this cold-climate object to a sub-tropical environment, releasing it from the material it was once reliant on. Bonhomme Universe stands 10.5' tall and 5.57' wide at the base. The "snowman" is crafted around a metal grid of stainless steel and topped with concrete which is adorned with 28 different types of precious and semi-precious stones that have been polished and treated for durability, including green quartz, red jasper and moonstone. The vibrant gemstones chosen were inspired by the colors of the Miami landscape yet sourced from around the world. These natural materials reflect the diverse mesh of buyers at Jade Signature, a testament to Miami’s unique cultural identity. Instead of the typical broom for an arm, this snowman has a palm tree, fashioned from stainless steel. This extended arm serves as a friendly wave to passersby, but also has the deeper visual reference, with the palm tree an ancient symbol of peace, victory, and eternal life that originated in Near East and Mediterranean culture.

Fenway Center, a 1.1-million-square-foot luxury development broke ground on January 30 near Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox.

“We are very pleased that this important project for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the city of Boston will finally be realized,” Kelly Saito, a managing partner at developer Gerding Edlen, told real estate website Nerej. “Fenway Center’s phenomenal location, the vibrancy of the surrounding neighborhood and the continued demand for housing in the Boston market make this a great time to start construction.”

When finished, the $600-million mixed-use property will combine 5 new buildings, including a 27-story tower above the Massachusetts Turnpike, 160,000 square feet of office space, 50,000 square feet of retail space, 30,000 square feet of green space, 1,290 parking spaces, a community space, daycare center, bicycle storage, and a bike-share station.

Fenway Center is designed to be a model for smart growth, transit and sustainable energy-oriented development, according to the project’s website. The property will be adjacent to the Yawkey Commuter Rail Station, one block from Kenmore Square and the Fenway Green Line Stations. A proposed solar power plant on side would generate a significant portion of the project’s electricity and all of the power needs of the Yawkey Commuter Rail Station.

Along with Gerding Edlen, the property is being developed by Meredith Management and TH Real Estate. The groundbreaking marks the realization of a proposal held back by delays and revisions since 2002.

“I had my moments when I wasn’t quite sure this day would come,” John Rosenthal, president of Meredith Management, told the Boston Globe. “This has been a 15-year journey to get to this point.”

Phase 1 of the project is set to be completed in 2020. It will comprise two residential apartment buildings with 312 units, 37,000 square feet of retail space and 200 underground parking spaces.

A new £370 million "village" in the center of Islington yards in London will soon house hundreds of luxury apartments. The 500,000-square-foot "Islington Square" will take the place of the former North London Royal Mail Center building on Upper Street, and will offer studios starting from £550,000, and penthouses priced at around £3.5 million.

Aside from 356 private flats, the 4.5-acre Sagers Group development will include shops, restaurants, offices, a health club and a cinema.

According to Giris Rabinovitch, the chief executive of the Group, "This transaction marks a major milestone in the development of Islington Square which will become a landmark retail and leisure destination and a welcome addition to this thriving area of London."

The colossal edifice, which will stand at the site of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown's famous "Granita Pact"—a 1994 agreement made over the future leadership of the Labour party—is one of the largest luxury developments in the area.
