Developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group, the new shopping district is also one of the most connected shopping destinations in New York, with connections to the High Line, a dozen entrances from 10^th Avenue, 30^th Street and 33^rd Street, and the No. 7 Subway line is just a few steps from the entrance. Situated in the new Hudson Yards neighborhood, the retail center is surrounded by 14 acres of public space, new cultural landmarks, 4,000 modern residences and state-of-the-art commercial office space for diverse, leading companies.

On the inside, there are over 100 stores, including a 190,000sq. ft. Every level has food and beverage offerings so when you’re tired of shopping, head to Queensyard for lunch, or Bluestone Lane for coffee.

Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, The Shops And Restaurants pay homage to the industrial past of the West Side. Inside, steel and dark wood evoke rail yards that once dominated the area and natural stone floors and exposed support structures contribute to rough-hewn, urban elegance of this vertical neighborhood. Greeting guests at the entrance is an enormous honeycomb-like structure known as Vessel. Designed by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio, Vessel is the centerpiece of the Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens. The climbable staircase features 154 intricately-interconnecting flights of stairs, 2,500 individual steps, and 80 landings. Standing 150 feet in the air, Vessel offers the public a one-mile vertical climbing experience and unique views of the new neighborhood.

During the Grand Opening Weekend of Hudson Yards, numerous public performances will take place along with retailers inviting shoppers to celebrate with special events such as made-to-order C101 sneaker bar at Coach and collection launches at Cartier, Piaget and much more.

Mayfair is "posh" London. The affluent West End London area borough has been an upper-class playground since the 18th century. Its maze-like streets and storied arcades remain a favored shopping, eating, and socializing destination for the world's elite. It's the neighborhood recognized as the most expensive property square in the British version of a Monopoly game board.

While historic Mayfair hotels like Claridge's and The Dorchester have pampered royal guests, for a sense of prestige, stay at The Ritz. Opened in 1906 as the first steel-framed building in London, this world-famous hotel is an unparalleled example of British refinement.

Just behind Bond Street, is the covered Burlington Arcade, running from Piccadilly to Burlington Gardens, this handsome colonnade includes Chanel and Manolo Blahnik among its desirable upmarket retailers and high-fashion boutiques.

Mayfair Art and Culture

Two famous musicians lived on Brook Street in Mayfair. George Frederic Handel had a flat there, while Jimi Hendrix called the same place home more than 200 years later.

The Royal Academy of Arts is located in Burlington House and The Fine Art Society is one of many galleries on New Bond Street displaying both established and contemporary artists' work for savvy collectors.

Celebrities love the low-calorie healthy Japanese food that Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is famous for.

One feature that makes Mayfair so exclusive is its high-volume of private members' clubs. You have to be a member or get an invite to one of these opulent hangouts where celebrities and royalty sip cocktails on leather couches, enjoying the freedom found behind locked doors.

Morton's private members' club is a restaurant, lounge, and nightclub that offers a refined yet relaxed experience. The panoramic balcony provides beautiful views of Berkeley Square Gardens, while an art deco basement nightclub called 2&8 has a spacious dance floor, DJ booth and a bar, making it a perfect setting for fashion shows or deluxe parties.

Meghan Markle enjoyed a dinner recently at Little House, a private club opened by the Soho House group. This quiet house in Mayfair includes a restaurant, drawing room, and salon bar decorated with art by Taryn Simon and Jenny Holzer.

Louis Vuitton delivered this weekend with a modern, U-shaped beach bungalow entitled “House by the Shore.” Assembled in Italy and shipped to Florida exclusively for Design Miami, this gorgeous display boasts fluidity between indoor and outdoor spaces and raw iroko and okoume wood floors and furnishings.

The minimalist living space is intended to be a temporary shelter for beach dwellers, showcasing found objects as décor and what seems to be a simple tin roof. It also offers some leather furnishings, plain vintage pieces and a hide statement rug.

Another unusual feature? The space was made in a way that it can easily be assembled and disassembled whenever necessary.

Although it's hard to pick, some of our favorites at the Haute Design Network include the origami-like foldable stools created by Atelier Oïd, the Col de Voyage neck pillow (yes, it's a neck pillow that is actually stylish) by Constance Guisset and the ultra-covetable Bag Hanger by Perrine Desmons. Each piece is clever, utterly useful and of course beautifully luxurious. Louis Vuitton unveiled the Objets Nomades during Art Basel Miami, but just like their iconic luggage, the collection is already on the move, and is currently on view at Omotesando in Tokyo.

From there, the collection travel to Louis Vuitton boutiques around the world, including their stores at Marina Bay in Singapore, Taipei 101 in Taipei, New Bond Street in London, Champs-Élysées in Paris and finally, SoHo in New York. If you can't make it to any of those cities, fret not; certain pieces will be available for limited-edition purchase.

This is not the first time the famed fashion house has collaborated with the world of design. Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the grandson of the company's founder, was involved in the Art Nouveau and Art Décoratifs movements, initiating collaborations with the great artists of the early 20th century, including Legrain, Puiforcat, Conversat and Lalique.
