In 2015, NBA legend LeBron James purchased a residence in Brentwood, California for $20,986,500. The real estate transaction was executed in an off-market deal while James was still with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since then, the four-time MVP has been playing with the Los Angeles Lakers and in 2017, acquired a second Brentwood home. The 2017 contemporary abode was brand new and purchased at a price of $23 million. Now, Los Angeles Lakers star is bidding farewell to his first Brentwood residence at a slight loss. The traditional style abode was initially listed in March at $20.5 million, which is already less than his purchase price six years prior. The property has now been sold at $19.6 million.

Built in 2011, James’ former Brentwood residence rests on the “coveted Rockingham Rim.” The gated mansion spans 9,440-square-foot with six bedrooms. The expansive interior offers “every imaginable amenity” with formal living and dining rooms, a lavish master suite, terrace, ensuite bathroom, two closets, elevator, and three car garage. Additionally, the kitchen is equipped with a breakfast nook and one of two family rooms opens to a loggia with heaters. Decorative elements of the home include Oakwood floors, detailed ceilings, and multiple fireplaces. Entertainment options are presented in the form of a media room, paneled library, gym, and a memorable basketball hoop. The lavish space also offers state-of-the-art audio and video, security, and home automation. Stepping outside, the exterior boasts a half-acre lot with a lap pool, spa, poolside cabana, and picturesque Californian views.

In 2018, Anthony Davis purchased his Westlake Village home at just under $7.5 million, which he recently sold at loss. While Davis splurged $8 million on renovations to the Mediterranean style residence, the home ultimately sold for $6.6 million in January. However, with his most recent real estate purchase of a Bel Air estate appears to be a score. According to a trust associated with Davis, the off-market deal of his new property closed last month at a price of $32 million. Although a quiet transaction for a superstar player, the lavish state of his newfound home speaks for itself.

Previous owner, Ted Foxman purchased the Bel Air property in 2016 at a price of $16 million. Throughout his stay, he spent two years renovating it. Several significant transformations were made to the home as showcased in Elle Decor. The 16,700 square foot villa style estate spans 3.5 acres with eight bedrooms and eight full bathrooms. Beyond the gates of the Bel Air Crest community, the home opens to a great hall with an extravagant 35-foot glass dome ceiling. Further inside the property presents an entertainment style living room, formal dining room equipped for 20, and ultramodern eat-in kitchen with a butler’s pantry. The eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and three powder rooms highlight picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. The estate is equipped with a plethora of entertainment options such as a home theater, game room, wet bar, Olympic sized pool, full sized basketball court, tennis court, and nearby golf course and canyons. NBA star LeBron James has put his gated Brentwood estate on the market and it’s going for $20.5 million.

Purchased in 2015 for $20.9 million and spanning over 9,400 square feet, the massive traditional-style home has six-bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a long list of amenities. The interior includes two family rooms, a sprawling master suite with a sitting room, a terrace, an en-suite bathroom, and two closets.

The home also has a formal living and dining room, a kitchen with a breakfast nook, as well as a family room that contains a loggia with heaters. Described on the listing as a resort-like ground with every imaginable space, other amenities include a paneled library, a gym, an elevator, a media room, a lap pool and spa, four fireplaces, a three-car garage, and a pool-side cabana.

The James family has not been using this estate as their primary home. In fact, this listing is only one out of other real estate properties owned by the basketball superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers. He recently purchased a $36.8 million Beverly Hills property that was once owned by Katharine Hepburn. He also owns a second home in Brentwood, which was purchased in 2017 for $23 million.

Back in December, the famed forward shed $23 million on an eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom estate in the swanky neighborhood of Brentwood. The 15,846-square-foot contemporary residence, built in 2017, rests at the end of a winding driveway behind private gates.

Despite its modern, high-tech touches, the house exemplifies a traditional aesthetic with an emphasis on natural light and materials, such as French oak and marble reclaimed from Spain.

A theater room, a wine cellar, a cigar room and an onyx bar provide ample opportunities for entertainment, while an auto gallery – that also doubles as a garage – offers the perfect exhibit place for James’ fleet. A pool, a spa and a state-of-the-art gym (a requirement given that James keeps a rigorous five-day workout routine even in the off-season) shape out the amenities.

James’ other LA home, a $21-million estate, is not far away. Also in the celebrity-studded Brentwood community, the house spans some 9,440 square feet, envisioned by architect Ken Ungar.

Perhaps, James has a proclivity for houses that blend the modern and the traditional, because the residence, which he purchased in 2015, is another portfolio pick that embodies the two.  A gabled roof, dormer windows and a stone façade elevate the design, which also includes a backyard pool, cabana and several patios.

Aside from his two properties in Los Angeles, James owns a mansion in his native Akron, Ohio, where he is erecting a public school for low-income, at-risk youth.

The 33-year old basketball player parted with a three-story mansion in Coconut Grove, Florida, collecting $13.4 million in the process, when he moved from Miami Hear to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015.

Perhaps the famous young-in-love couple see the suburban Los Angeles home as their personal magic kingdom (where platinum records and NBA championships come true).

The single-story mansion covers 6,630 square feet.

Azalea and Young bought the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom Mediterranean style estate on .83 acres of land in September. The gated estate reportedly has a spa, butler’s pantry, barbecue pit (insert “shrimp on the barbie” joke here) and a full basketball court (naturally, but no recording studio?). The 6,630-square-foot mansion boasts a single-story main house, and a guesthouse with a wraparound balcony and private entrance above a two-car garage.

Showcasing an all-white exterior, the single-story main home’s interiors are transitional (alternating from contemporary to traditional from room to room) with French doors, beautiful dark hardwood floors, extensive molding on ceilings, trendy matte gray palettes, and a variety of pendant lights. Living and dining areas are bright with bay windows that look overlook stone terraces and the large yard.

Surely the couple will perform a mansion upgrade as their careers advance—just as Gomez did. According to Curbed, Gomez bought the house in 2011 for $2.17 million and flipped it after extensive renovations, netting a $1.3 million profit in merely three years.

But let’s hope the lyrical coincidence of their new home doesn't inspire Azalea to live vicariously though her current single "Black Widow" where she raps, "I'm gonna love you until it hurts.” We know what black widow spiders do to their mates. For now, Azalea and Young are still living in the fast lane. Get ready Tokyo, Iggy is likely hitting you up for a new home next.
