In 2018, Perry purchased the Beverly Hills residence to accompany her nearby abode at a price of $7.47 million. The presumed reason as to why Perry acquired the property was to provide extra space for guests or visitors while still remaining within the gated community of Hidden Valley. However, in 2020, Perry decided to bid farewell to her additional property and placed her guesthouse on the market for nearly $8 million. As the listing price failed to attract prospective buyers, the price was reduced to $7.85 million in January. In March, the price was once more lowered to $7.7 million. By early May, a buyer was secured, and the real estate deal was closed at $7.45 million.

Built in 1960, the 4,400 square foot traditional residence has been renovated throughout the years and spans roughly one acre of land. The estate features four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Beyond the gated walls, the home opens to a spacious living area equipped with a fireplace and French doors leading to the outdoor space. The formal dining room opens to a terrace and overlooks the exterior grounds. The chef’s kitchen highlights a center island, breakfast area, and fireplace. Additionally, the interior layout of the main floor includes a family room, media room, built-in bar, and two ensuite bedrooms. Upstairs, the master suite spans an entire wing with a veranda, two walk-in closets, seating area, and sunlit bathroom with tub. The opposite wing of the upper level includes an ensuite bedroom, office, and gym. Stepping outside, the home’s landscaped grounds the feature a picturesque lawn, pool, and lounge areas.

Pop singer Katy Perry is demonstrating her admiration for California by purchasing multiple Hollywood Hills homes totaling $11.2 million.

Perry recently purchased two properties on three adjoining lots in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles. According to The Huffington Post, Perry purchased the land, which “tops the acreage scales at about four” lots, from oil heiress Aileen Getty.

Of the two homes, the smaller mid-century modern residence was once owned by Conan O’Brien band leader Max Weinberg and Jake Gyllenhall’s parents. The Huffington Post also reports that her manager Bernie Gudvi is listed as the trustee on the properties, and is also on at least one other property she owns in Los Feliz.

According to Zillow, property records show that Weinberg’s former 2,916-square-foot home was purchased for $3 million and features five bedrooms, three bathrooms, an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling windows, outdoor living spaces, high-end appliances in the kitchen and new bath features.
