In 2018, popstar Ariana Grande and comedian Pete Davidson were involved in a whirlwind romance when they began dating in May, got engaged in the weeks following, and moved into a luxurious apartment complex in West Chelsea. The chic space seemed fitting for the public duo as the building was deemed one of the most luxurious in New York City. The property had reportedly been on and off the market since 2015 with an unwavering asking price of $16 million. Since the celebrity couple split in October of 2018, Grande has said “thank u, next” to her former relationship and residence. She has now amassed an impressive real estate portfolio with contemporary mansion in the Hollywood Hills, a $9 million Bird Streets home, and a $6.7 million Montecito estate purchased from Ellen DeGeneres. Recently, the two-time Grammy winning vocalist tied the knot with real estate agent Dalton Gomez in an intimate ceremony at her Montecito home.

Built in the winter of 2017, the New York City apartment complex formerly home to Grande and Davidson was designed by the late renowned architect Dame Zaha Hadid. The lavish custom decor consists of 10-foot-wide motorized windows, 10-foot-high ceilings, distinctive curved glass, and lacquered wall paneling. With 4,023 square feet of living space, Grande’s former unit includes five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The interior layout presents an ultramodern kitchen equipped with double dishwashers, double refrigerators, a wine refrigerator, a steam oven, and a sculptural island with beveled marble. Leading from the contemporary kitchen, the home offers a spacious family room and entertainment area with a bright and airy atmosphere. Stepping outside, the unit also features a 1,361 square foot terrace with picturesque views of the Empire State Building and bustling cityscape below.

The extravagant apartment complex with 39 units presents a lifestyle of privacy and luxury. Additional amenities consist of a skylit swimming pool, fitness center, spa, and the city’s first private IMAX theater. The price of this property also includes two parking spaces worth $700,000 each. Located directly over the High Line in West Chelsea, this lavish residence is mere moments from Hudson River Park as well as a multitude of shopping and dining options in the city’s most coveted neighborhood.

This property was listed with Million Dollar Listing: New York star Steve Gold. The buyer was represented by Phillip Salem of Compass.

Nearly 100 years after the Roaring Twenties, developers are celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Jazz Age by bringing back the classic Art Deco architecture style of the era in new developments. Geometric crowns, stained glass, and materials like bronze, brick, and brass have inspired the design in these standout buildings. Ushering in the new '20s, these modern creations offer a nod to the past while rebelling against the glass boxes that have dominated the New York skyline over the past 15 years.

Rose Hill

Courtesy Rose Hill

Developed by the original builders of Rockefeller Center and designed with a vintage "Gotham-esque" flair, Rose Hill is a new 45-story luxury condominium tower currently under construction at 30 East 29th Street. With architecture and interior design by the acclaimed global architecture firm CetraRuddy, Rose Hill draws a direct connection back to Rockefeller Center with its heavy Art Deco influence of the 20th century. Rising over 600 feet in height, the building is eloquently clad in a bronze-tone façade, accented by intricate detailing that frames expansive glass windows. Taking its place among New York’s architectural icons and inspired by the Rockefeller Group’s landmark developments, decorative lighting will illuminate the tower’s base and crown to highlight the building’s unique articulation. The contemporary design, although rooted in the past, speaks to today's modern New Yorker.

The Kent

Courtesy The Kent

At The Kent on the Upper East Side, the classic uptown buildings of the 1920s have been reinvented. Renowned architectural firm Beyer Blinder Belle, known for restoring classic buildings such as the Empire State Building and City Hall, designed The Kent to be reminiscent of landmark Art Deco buildings. The facade is constructed of classic brick and limestone, accented by metalwork paneling and large windows, with a series of steel and glass lanterns crowning the building. Indoors, celebrated designer Champalimaud designed interiors that evoke a different era, with custom chandeliers and Art Deco-inspired accents, including a French Vanilla marble fireplace and bar in the lobby lounge, and brass elevator doors that recall vintage elevator carriages.
