The Heather House was originally built by entertainer Dick Powell and actress Joan Blondell in 1937. The house, which was built in a French-regency style, occupied 1.62 acres on the infamous 90210 Heather Road. The couple purchased this grand estate as construction was wrapping up in 1938 and lived there with their two children until the house was sold to to actor George Raft. Raft, being the man that he was, regularly had overnight visitors stay over including Betty Grable and Marlene Dietrich among other actresses at the time. It wasn’t until 1956 when Hollywood super-agent, Ed Limato, purchased the property where he lived for the next 40 years. With over $6 million spent on additions, Limato added a billiard room, an aquarium, gilt furniture and marble bathrooms.
