In 2019, Djokovic purchased the lavish unit at Eighty-Seven Park in North Beach. Although his purchase was prior to the completion of the property in late 2019, he acquired the space at $5.8 million from the developer, an affiliate of David Martin’s Terra. In February of this year, the tennis pro listed his opulent home on the market for $6,199,000. Several months later, Djokovic’s Universe Collins Investment LLC sold the property at a slightly reduced final price of $6 million. The buyer has not been revealed.

The grand condominium building was designed by award-winning architect Renzo Piano, Rena Dumas Architecture Intérieure, and WEST 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture. Miami Developer David Martin of Terra Group completed the 66-unit, 18-story oceanfront tower at 8701 Collins Avenue in North Beach in November of 2019. The glass structure is uniquely shaped as an elliptical and offers picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Djokovic’s former residence in unit 901 of the glamorous condominium spans 2,233 square feet of living space and includes three-bedrooms and three-and-a-half-bathrooms. The interior highlights an open floor plan with walls of glass, 10-foot ceilings, and a 1,715-square-foot wraparound terrace. The minimalist style kitchen is equipped with ultramodern appliances, natural stone countertops, and an island with bar seating. The dining area sits adjacent to the kitchen and features a sliding glass door leading to the terrace. The master suite also includes access to the terrace as well as an ensuite bath with a stand-alone tub, glass shower, and dual vanities. The building offers a private, gated park with botanical exhibition. Other luxe amenities consist of a spa, fitness center, two oceanfront pools, cabanas, restaurant, and wine bar.

February 2020 in Miami packed an exciting calendar of top momentous events. We started off the month with the Superbowl LIV, later followed by Miami’s most memorable sales gallery event, where potential buyers flocked to Miami’s newest luxury condo development -The Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove- and guests enjoyed live music, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. This launch event was, indeed, grand and mirrored the elegance of the Mr. C brand: old-world European sophistication, cuisine and nautical inspirations. In other words, luxury residential living's winning trifecta.

It was David Martin’s Terra and Ignazio Cipriani’s Mr. C who happily hosted the grand opening on February 5, 2020. The Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove marks the first mega-scale residential project for the Mr. C brand, and according to the post-event release statement "is expected to deliver a next-generation residential experience rooted in world-class service, design, cuisine and lifestyle."

As described in the release statement, the design team for this residential development is off the charts: Ray Fort of Arquitectonica, son of famed architecture duo Laurinda Spear and Bernardo Fort-Brescia, is leading designs for the skyscraper’s exterior; residential interiors and lavish amenity spaces are designed by Meyer Davis, who closely worked with Ignazio Cipriani and the Mr. C brand to co-create "the ultimate luxury hospitality experience."

Moreover, this signature event brought together project leaders David Martin of Terra; Ignazio Cipriani, fourth generation of the Cipriani family and co-founder of the Mr. C brand; Bernardo Fort Brescia of Arquitectonica; Will Meyers of Meyer Davis; as well as Miami Mayor Francis Suarez.

And just when we thought it could not get any better, it did. As narrated in the post-event release statement, "long-time friends, David Martin and Mayor Francis Suarez, took the stage, alongside project leaders, and delivered passionate words honoring the project and the future of Coconut Grove, which is home to other projects pioneered by David Martin, including Bjarke Ingels-designed Grove at Grand Bay and the Rem Koolhaas/OMA-designed Park Grove."

The Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove sales gallery event was an incomparable success, making Miami once again the hot spot for new residential luxury developments.

Locals and visitors present for the Art Basel Miami during Miami Art Week will have the unique experience of seeing one of the world's most recognizable designs.

A private reception took place at The New World Center to open the exhibit, attended by 200 guests.

Remarks were given by Steven Gombinski, President of the Lincoln Road BID; Lyle Stern, Director of Lincoln Road BID; Howard Herring, President of New World Symphony; Ambassador Paul Cejas; Gary Nader, Founder of Nader Art Museum; and Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber. After the speeches, attendees headed to Lincoln Road for the official unveiling of the exhibit. After, a dinner was held at Time Out Market.

The guests included Bass Museum Director Silvia Karman Cubiñá, music mogul Emilio Estefan, Fernando Botero’s son Juan Carlos Botero, real estate developer David Martin, Miami Beach Commissioner Ricky Arriola, Michael Comras, architect Rene Gonzalez, Jorge Plasencia, artist Soraya Abu Naba’a, Telemundo TV personality and host Azucena Cierco, among others.

Previous locations that have held exhibitions of the Colombian artist's outdoor sculptures include the Champs-Élysées in Paris, Yebisu Garden in Tokyo, Lustgarten in Berlin and Park Avenue in New York City.

On his own sculptures, Botero once said, "I never give particular traits to my figures. I don’t want them to have personality, but rather represent a type that I create. My sculptures do not carry any messages, social or otherwise. What matters for me is the form, the voluptuous surfaces, which emphasize the sensuality of my work. I like the enormous size; it is the fulfillment of my longing for voluptuous round forms.”

The famous works of art to be viewed while enjoying the pleasant South Florida winter weather include "Male Torso", "Adam", "Eve", "Leda and the Swan", "Bird", "Rape of Europa", and others. Gary Nader Art Centre (62 NE, 27th street, Miami, Fla. 33137) will host the "Espacio Botero" painting, drawing and sculpture exhibit starting on December 1, 2019.

Haute Living hosted Real Estate Summit Miami 2013, successfully bringing all the biggest names in Miami real estate together under one roof. The lux event took place in the ballroom of the W South Beach and brought out star developers and brokers for interactive round-table discussions before an audience of ticketed attendees who were treated to breakfast and lunch. Expert lobbyist and strategist Seth Gordon posed questions to mega-developers Edgardo Defortuna, David Martin, Don Peebles, Ugo Colombo, Gil Dezer and Carlos Rosso, who gave their take on Miami’s red-hot real estate market.

One subject on everybody's mind? The influx of celebrity-architect designed new buildings. Edgardo Defortuna, famous for the Jade buildings, explained, “It’s not about how much money I’m going to get because I’m hiring Herzog and de Meuron, it’s about the experience of the buyer when they live there. I don’t think we have yet lived that. When those buildings are completed people are going to realize how different it is to use great firms with great minds.”

“The market has matured," added David Martin whose firm Terra Group is working on unique property Grove at Grand Bay with Bjarke Ingels. "Now everybody has different “starchitects” and designers and now we’re seeing unique properties where we almost can’t compare one to another and that’s making it an interesting market. Now the buyers really have a lot to look at, a lot to learn and a lot to study before they buy.”

Don Peebles, who is committing to new projects in Miami, emphasized the need to bring talent and finance corporations from New York, while surprising topics were discussed such as improving the cities green space, public transportation and even required parking specs per unit. “The parking of 500 Brickell is 8 stories high,” said Carlos Rosso. “This is real estate that has been given away to the car. The city doesn’t make a dime in taxes and we have to build it. It’s not the best approach. I think it’s going to be more about car storage than parking.” To which Gil Dezer, developer of the ground-breaking Porsche Design Tower commented, “If everybody just parked in their apartment, we wouldn’t have this problem,” making the room erupt with laughter.

Haute Living Publisher and CEO Kamal Hotchandani flew in from New York to present Jorge Perez of The Related Group with the magazine's first Tony Goldman Lifetime Visionary Award. Perez pointed out that Goldman was a dear friend and that he was honored to accept an award bearing his name. He also had some words of wisdom for the developers, brokers and realtors in the room, "We are in the throws of another great upturn. Florida has been known for great booms and busts and we need to moderate that. How do we not get so enthusiastic again and then three years from now think, 'Why did I do this?' and [have to] reach for the Alka-Seltzer."

After a sumptuous lunch with the attendees, brokers and developers, the room reconvened for a quick presentation of Beach House 8 by Daniella Bonetti and then the broker’s panel. It was comprised of big name Miami brokers Oliver Ruiz, of Engel Völkers, Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg of The Jills, Diane Lieberman of SBI, Alicia Cervera of Cervera Realty, Dora Puig of PuigWerner Craig Studnicky of ISG and Jorge Uribe of Sotheby's International Realty. On the docket? Hot tips on undervalued areas like the Bay Harbour Islands, Marketing Miami, how to improve appraisals and justify new pricing. “Things are lending a more ethical way and that allows them to go into a building and know it’s not all speculators and pay those dollars because they feel that it’s warranted. You have to give them the knowledge to understand why they are paying a premium over the last five comps,” explained Jill Eber during the discussion.  Each panelist received a private day charter on Ferretti Yacht from sponsor Ferretti Group.
