Our desire to escape from larger metropolitan cities during the coronavirus pandemic to smaller local communities is inspiring an increasing need for us to get out and “just breathe”. Hence, with lockdowns becoming the new normal, getting away for a respite from Paris is no exception. Driving 45 minutes to 2 hours away from a big city brings us a literal breath of fresh air, both physically and mentally. The era of having a “country residence” once a mainstay of bygone days is now once again cherished. Our desire to slow things down and to appreciate the simple things in life with our friends and family, away from city life, is driving this renewed global trend for country residences.
