Architectural heavy weights descended upon The Center for Architecture to battle it out with firms such as Dattner Architects, Davis Brody Bond, ZGF Architects, H3 Architects, Woods Bagot, Grade New York, Bespoke Careers, MADE, Hollwich Kushner and Wimberly Interiors all vying for the winning title.

Teams were supplied all needed instrucments and amterials for their incredible builds—and yielded designs that were absolutely eye catching to the point we wanted to bring them to our developers and ask about land for them!

The event was held by WATG and Wimberly Interiors, in Manhattan for the day. Since the firm’s inception in Hawaii in 1945, WATG has grown to offer integrated design services comprising strategy, planning, architecture, landscape, and interiors for urban, tourism and resort destinations. WATG and Wimberly Interiors have offices in Irvine, Beverly Hills, Seattle, Chicago, New York, London, Miami, Istanbul, Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai and Honolulu, and are best known for creating internationally acclaimed destinations in 160 countries across six continents. WATG's projects are renowned not only for their design and sense of place but also for their bottom-line success.

Creations included the Guggenheim, McDonald’s, Pennovation, Bird’s Nest Stadium, 56 Leonard Street’s TriBeCa Tower and the upcoming Convention Center in Adelaide, Australia.

Davis Brody Bond took the cake with their rendition of The Smythsonian of African American History and Culture which was dedicated to J.Max Bond Jr, followed closely by Dattner Architect’s version of the World's Fair Sphere in Queen's.
