Generously-scaled rooms with soaring ceiling heights ranging from 11 feet to 14 feet will flow seamlessly into the private loggia terraces that run the length of the residences and offer unprecedented views from over 600 feet in the air.

These Children’s Playrooms Are Seriously Over-The-Top And We Love It

Move over sad beanbag chairs. The children's playroom has evolved from a sorry space with a bright carpet and a few blocks to a totally over-the-top space designed by some of the most accomplished names in the children's design world. From custom dioramas to slides and LEGO walls, these incredible spaces are imaginative, educational, experiential and most importantly, fun. One might say they could rival a kid's own bedroom.

The Alyn

Featuring 2,400 square feet of indoor and outdoor play space, the playroom at The Alyn lets children explore two interlocking ships, jungle palm trees, castles, slides, sprinklers, playboats, and planetary ceilings, encouraging the soaring of their imaginations. With The Alyn’s location on the Upper East Side, incorporating family-focused amenities was a top priority for the developer, Gordon Property Group. The playroom provides endless opportunities for playing, interacting and learning, and incorporates a wealth of interactive features for babies, toddlers, and kids.

The Park Loggia

Pembrooke & Ives designed 20,000 square feet of amenities for the 172 condominiums at The Park Loggia, including a two-story kid’s playroom with multiple slides and custom treehouse-inspired cutouts for children to play and hide. There’s also a rock-climbing wall and creative seating throughout the space for kids and their adult chaperones to rest and spread out games.

At Camp Kent, an indoor-outdoor playground designed by Williams New York and executed by Extell Design and Beyer Blinder Belle, youngsters can climb a real treehouse, tell stories around a "campfire" surrounded by reimagined birch trees, and follow a custom carpet with a contoured stream and plantings. Camp Kent has everything a kid needs to spend a night "under the stars."

Quay Tower

Brooklyn's record-setting waterfront condominium, Quay Tower, has just unveiled its spectacular collection of amenities designed by AD100 Designer Marmol Radziner, including a children's playroom. Colorful and bright, the 1,500 square-foot children’s room inspires imaginations to run wild. Kids will be occupied for hours on the playset, or inside the playset. The music room next door also offers concerts and lessons in partnership with the Brooklyn Music School.

At Waterline Square, developer GID Development Group tapped renowned children's museum and aquarium designer Roto to create an exceptional interactive experience inside their 4,600-square-foot children's playroom. Roto crafted the massive children's space with the same spirit as their national institutional designs, making it into a global exploration learning experience. The design of the playroom centers on a fictional adventure story that Roto created specifically for Waterline Square. The “story” takes children on a worldly journey, with each room mimicking different scenes from the story, taking young residents around the world to Stonehenge, on a safari Africa, to the Egyptian pyramids, surfing in Australia, to the islands of Hawaii, and beyond. Each space is designed to be highly interactive and features fun elements such as a slide, train table, and safari car.

11 Hoyt

11 Hoyt is a new luxury, residential building, developed by Tishman Speyer, located at the crossroads of Downtown Brooklyn and brownstone Brooklyn. The 57-story tower rises 620 feet and spans almost an entire city block and also includes a 27,000 square foot elevated, private park for residents. The main attraction is the Park Club, which includes an indoor children's playroom as well as a custom outdoor playground.

Loggia, which is Italian for "lodge" can often be seen in museums, palaces, and other historic grandeur structures in Italy and Greece. In New York, the renaissance of loggias has officially begun, and we can't get enough of them this summer. Here are four loggias in luxury New York residences made for summer entertaining.

130 William's hand-cast concrete facade is a striking addition to the Manhattan skyline, especially the reinvented arches inspired by classic Lower Manhattan architecture. There’s A New Trend In Architecture And It Dates Back To Ancient Rome

In Ancient Greek and Roman sculpture, curves were used to suggest comfort, safety, and relaxation. Today, we’re noticing these aesthetically unique shapes in facades, amenity spaces, and windows in many new developments throughout Manhattan. In honor of this new trend, we highlight three stunning developments that use curves in its architecture.

130 William couldn’t exist anywhere else. Sir David Adjaye uses the neighborhood context as a starting point. He pushes against the conventions of tall glass towers with curves and arches inspired by classic Manhattan masonry architecture. A signature feature of the building is the unique silhouette of rhythmic oversized bronze arched windows that draw inspiration from the beloved lofts that once populated the area. At 66 stories and nearly 800 feet tall, the new luxury high-rise tower is quickly becoming recognized for its iconic exterior architecture, which centers around its unique curved windows.

35 Hudson Yards

Situated in Manhattan’s newest neighborhood, 35 Hudson Yards is the latest addition from David Childs and Skidmore Owings & Merrill. Drawing inspiration from David Child’s organic architecture, the building offers an arrival experience met with a nautilus-shaped ceiling light installation that effortlessly guides residences through the lobby to the elevator corridor. The selection of exotic woods, stones, and metals creates an inviting and luxurious atmosphere complimented with collectible furniture, art, and lighting pieces that further elevate the most luxurious building in Hudson Yards and a truly unique private residence in New York City.

125 Greenwich Street

Designed by world-renowned architect Rafael Viñoly, 125 Greenwich Street tops out at 88 stories. This towering building features an exposed concrete column that runs throughout the height of the building and a curved glass façade that enhances panoramic views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty and the skyline. This curved façade is carried through the 15,000-square-foot, residents-only, private club called The 88, which spans across the top three floors. The club is dedicated to the wellness of its residents and includes skyline and water views.
