An avid sailor, Tim is the first to jump aboard any sailboat heading offshore to race or requiring crew for transport from or to the Eastern Seaboard.

Tim has a varied background, including several run-ins, in the 70s, with higher education at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design and the Business School at Dalhousie University. Past experiences aside, in 2003, Tim entered the EMBA program at Saint Mary's University (Halifax) and graduated with his MBA along with the Class of 2005.

In 1986, Tim decided to re-root himself in Chester and started his real estate career in 1988. Tim established T.W Harris & Assoc. Real Estate Limited in 1989. In 1995 Tim changed the name to Tradewinds Realty to better reflect the identity of his growing company.
