The Young Companies, Inc (TYC INC.) is a bespoke luxury interior design and creative lifestyle marketing firm in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to providing interior design services to various high-end clientele, their bespoke interior design and avant-garde innovative lifestyle marketing services make the unknown known across multiple mediums and business sectors throughout the world. A native of Dublin, Ohio, Donté J. Young, has championed the power of modern-day lifestyle marketing and luxury bespoke interior design on a regional and international basis while leading as an innovator within the Creative Marketing and Interior Design sectors. He has positioned The Young Companies, Inc. for its next generation of growth by executing a healthy plan that delivers results today while operating out of their agency headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
Before founding The Young Companies, Donté served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chair of FinMarc Ventures' board of directors. During his tenure, he led the company's focus on growth in the lifestyle communications sector, positioned the firm as a leading boutique communications firm in the entertainment and celebrity sectors, and elevated the verbal communications brand of numerous celebrities, organizations, and Fortune 500 corporations. Before that, Sotheby's International Realty was where Donté began his communications career over a decade ago as Vice President of International Communications. He currently serves as the Social Events Chair for the Italian Village Society and is a Founding Member of SideStreet Private Cigar Club in Napa, Ca. He has also been involved with numerous charitable organizations such as Big Brother Big Sister, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Make A Wish Foundation, and Nationwide Children's Hospital. Donté was named one of the 'Top 300 Black Businessmen' by Who's Who of Chicago in 2008.
Donté holds numerous certifications and is formally educated in architectural engineering, business marketing, graphic design, real estate, and finance. In 2019 he received his Entrepreneur Specialization Certification from The Wharton School of Business and is currently obtaining an Entrepreneurship Essentials Certification from Harvard University's Online Studies. He and his work body have been featured in numerous publications throughout New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Miami, and Dallas. Most recently noticeably seen in the October 2021 Issue of Architectural Digest and throughout all the in-flight United Airline Hemispheres Magazine. He and his dog, Hampton, reside full-time in the Loop Neighborhood of Chicago while spending a fair amount of time in Napa Valley, CA, and Sag Harbor, NY.
