If you have always wanted to live like a rock star, now is your chance - all for a cool $20 million.

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi’s New Jersey High Point Estate just hit the market and boasts a whopping 18,000-square-foot French-inspired Chateau main residence. Perched on 15 acres overlooking New Jersey’s Navesink River, the main home features a double-wide entrance driveway, brick courtyards, French balconies, tall and wide mullioned windows and arched alcove windows.

Photo Credit: Christie's International Real Estate

As for the interior of this Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's luxurious estate, think 12-foot-high ceilings, gorgeous fireplaces, intricately painted woodwork and parquet flooring, a home theater and two distinct wings: one reserved for the family and the other for guests or staff and a recording studio with seven double-door garages underneath.

The dining room features a brick barreled ceiling and wide-planked wood floor designed to infuse warmth in the kitchen. The intimate family room has a beamed ceiling, built-ins and a fireplace, and then opens to an outdoor retreat with a fireplace and a pergola to view sailboats passing on the river.

The second floor has two distinct wings, one reserved for the family and the other for guests or staff. The family wing has four en-suite bedrooms, which include a master suite, complete with a balcony, a master bath with steam shower and a freestanding soaking tub, his-and-her walk-in closets, a seating area and a kitchenette. The guest wing offers a full gym with bathroom and steam shower, while the staff quarters has two bedrooms, a full bath and kitchen with an elevator that services the home’s multiple levels.

Photo Credit: Christie's International Real Estate

The listing also states "there are four more outbuildings, including a carriage house dating back to 1910 with three bedrooms, a living room with the original fireplace and a full kitchen; a pub with its bar imported from France and a billiards area; a recording studio with seven double-door garages beneath; plus a separate structure with a workshop and storage. The property also has a dock and boat lift."

Solid wood double doors open to a two-story foyer with limestone flooring and a custom circular staircase detailed with a hand-forged wrought-iron banister. The interiors are appointed with intricate glazing, 18th- and 19th-century patinas and handmade plaster finishes.

Photo Credit: Christie's International Real Estate

"The grounds consist of a windswept promontory where 15 waterfront acres artfully sculpted by the Olmsted Brothers [the firm started by Fredrick Olmsted and made famous for its landmark work on New York City’s Central Park], who designed the grounds of some of the country’s most prestigious universities and parks, perfectly complement a grand French Chateaux," said Gloria Nilson of Gloria Nilson & Co. Real Estate. "Designed by renowned architect A.M. Stern, the main residence transports you to Paris with all of its’ grandeur and elegance. Unique outbuildings include a pub the “Shoe Inn” with a rustic ambiance and a bar transported from Paris, gracious carriage house, pool and pool house overlooking the Navesink River, a multi-level equipment barn replete with a studio loft and a dock."

The pool area can be accessed through a courtyard and Renaissance-inspired gardens and features a large slate patio, shady pergola and two full, cedar bath cabanas with separate kitchen and laundry room.

What type of clientele is this home designed for? "A unique individual who wants to drive through the gates to enter a world apart, where you are transported to a life of serenity beside a tranquil river where privacy abounds and a once in a lifetime atmosphere prevails," Nilson said. "Truly perfect for a CEO, celebrity or a sports figure where “lifestyle” is important."

If you are looking for the classic elegance of haute living in Boston combined with a modern expression of elegance, Maison Commonwealth is sure to deliver. The luxury boutique condo complex made of just five residences in two combined brownstones in Back Bay was designed with the intent of preserving the city's historic charm while offering prospective buyers a cutting-edge modern design unique to the city.

"Maison Commonwealth comes on the heels of the Maison Vernon development in Beacon Hill," said Marcel Safar, founding partner of developer Chevron Partners. "The concept was to be able to provide completed residences for even the most discerning buyers. It's a balance between intricate and European influence with modern design that has never been done in the Boston market."

From custom heating vents, hand carved marble mantels, ornate fireplaces, imported oak flooring, sleek Italian kitchen cabinetry and doors from Italy with invisible hinges, the luxe grandeur found here is nearly impossible to find in Boston. The recently listed property offers spacious units ranging from $3,000 to $4,700 per square foot.

"One of the things that we are really proud of is we are able to have limited customization because we are only five residences," he said. "There are options for floor finishes and kitchen cabinetry finishes. Most of all materials are provided by ADIGE Design from the kitchen and closets to floor, doors and hardware, which makes the process a lot easier for buyers with one-stop shopping. Most importantly though, there is no loss of design vision. Our buyers know the specifics of the products and know what they want. They know the doors are magnetic and don't have hinges, and want a dual HVAC system that is perfectly silent."

There are customizable garden floor units with direct access off Commonwealth Avenue available along with a sprawling penthouse unit.

"The penthouse unit is the first of its kind on Comm Ave," Safar added. "It's the only place in Boston with a full classic 2,700 sf apartment on one level and 1,600 sf penthouse on the roof with a motorized sliding glass system for full indoor and outdoor living. People really relish the historical elegance of Boston. We are targeting the buyer who is knowledgeable and values the details of the residences, its finishes and its services. They know what they want and what we are providing. Our buyers ask questions on every single finish being provided. It's an opportunity for us to show them the extraordinary finishes we are offering while building something special."

To capitalize on this haute area, EchelonSeaport will be introducing the largest luxury residential project to Boston when it opens shortly.

The highly anticipated development will bring luxury urban resort style residences (both condos and apartments), stunning indoor/outdoor amenity spaces, a public central courtyard and two levels of high-end retail to the Seaport District. (The condominiums here are branded by Regent Hotels as part of their Regent Collection).

Condo pricing here starts at $700,000 and will go up to more than $5M for three-bedroom penthouse homes. Interior design firm Jeffrey Beers International (hailed for designs including the Fontainebleau in Miami and is currently designing residential amenities for Rafael Vinoly’s 277 Fifth Avenue project in New York) chose EchelonSeaport as its inaugural residential project in Boston. Their design of the 60,000 sf of indoor/outdoor amenity spaces includes two outdoor pools with lush landscaping, sun decks, an indoor infinity edge relaxation pool, fitness center and two sky lounges.
There has been an on-site Sales & Experience Center located on the property for prospective buyers that offers an interactive 3-D map of Boston showcasing points of interest, a video that illustrates the mix of restaurants, entertainment and cultural institutions within minutes of prospective residents’ future homes and a screening room designed to replicate 133 Seaport’s intimate library lounge.

If you have always envisioned yourself living in one of Boston's hottest sections of Boston, now is your chance. The luxurious St. Regis Residences, Boston is slated to open in early 2021, so you have plenty of time now to get in on all of the excitement.

Cronin Development recently launched a “high-touch/high-tech” waterfront sales center at 250 Northern Avenue where potential residents can actually see and feel the details of their new home. The custom-built waterfront space known as the “Experience Center for The St. Regis Residences, Boston” offers visitors a high-tech experience, luxury service and panoramic Boston Harbor views that mimic what buyers will experience inside the tower’s 114 condominiums ranging from $2M up to nearly $15M.

“In the Experience Center, future residents can touch, feel and see the high-level of quality and design we are planning for The St. Regis Residences, Boston – which will be a landmark development,” said Cronin Development Founder Jon Cronin. “When it opens, it will be one of the first stand-alone St. Regis Residences in the world and will mark the debut of the brand in Boston.”

The Center features a built-to-scale model kitchen and bath that allows buyers to preview the highly curated finishes chosen for quality, style and performance. Buyers can also review a variety of finish options and interior design in the building’s Design Center.
“We bought the site in 2006 when the Seaport was a very different place back then," Cronin said. "Things slowed down a bit with development in 2008, but we saw the direction the Seaport was going - becoming a city within a city and were very excited about it.”

The residential-only tower features a design that mimics the curvilinear shape of a tall ship at sail. The tower’s condominiums range from one-bedroom to penthouse residences, each with extraordinary views.

“It is going to be a five-star luxury residence on the water,” he said. “We are thrilled with the design."

While the tower will not feature a hotel, its residents will feature some of the amenities the brand is so well known for, including butler and concierge assistance, and exclusive use of the tower’s entire floor of amenities including swimming pool and outdoor patio, spa, exercise room, library, sports simulator, St. Regis lounge, wine vault, media room and guest suites. A signature restaurant will provide in-residence private dining and preferred reservations as well as cater to residents, guests and neighbors.

Are the Obamas moving to Massachusetts? At least for the summer, they are. (We may see them more often since daughter Malia is currently attending Harvard University in Cambridge).

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have been visiting Martha's Vineyard for years, but the famous former First Family is now in negotiations with Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck to purchase his island estate for a cool $14.85M.

The near 7,000 square foot watefront estate built in 2001 offers seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and sits on more than 29 private acres overlooking Edgartown Great Pond. Custom-designed by Bradenburger Taylor Lombardo Architects from San Francisco, and built by island builder, John Early, this lavish home offers a "long and winding driveway, sprawling lawn and incredible water views (that) make for the perfect family compound setting for generations to come," according to the listing.

As for the sprawling estate's interior, highlights include multiple seating and entertaining spaces, a modern chef’s kitchen, and a formal circular dining room surrounded by a wall of windows overlooking the grounds. The listing continues, "The spacious and dramatic living room space boasts vaulted ceilings with exposed steel beams and a focal point stone fireplace. There are two guest wings and an impressive master suite with fireplace, private sun deck and spectacular water views."

79 Turkeyland Cove Road in Edgartown was initially listed for $22.5M four years ago, but Grousbeck dropped the price when it was relisted this year.

We recently offered you a look inside billionaire Paul Fireman's sprawling Woodland Manor. Just up the road from this massive estate, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have listed their sprawling five-bedroom, six-bathroom home for a whopping $39.5 million.

While we aren't quite sure what that means just yet for Patriots Nation where Brady has just one more year left to his contract, one lucky owner will have the opportunity to enjoy this custom home. Built in 2015 and situated on more than five acres adjacent to the ninth hole of The Country Club, the listing states it offers "expansive views of plush landscaping, a three-car garage, stoned carport and circular driveway holding up to 20 vehicles."

Photo by Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty

As for the 12,112 square foot home that has been featured in Brady's Facebook docuseries "Tom vs. Time," the listing describes the estate has having an entry foyer that "leads to a stunning dining room, living room, home office, eat-in and chef’s kitchen and a family room all with generous fenestration. Grand stairwell leads to 5 bedrooms on second floor. Lower level includes a recreation room, kids play room, full bath, wine room, gym, spa and outdoor organic herb/vegetable garden. 2400 sq. ft. detached Barn-inspired Guest House, with yoga studio, full bath, sleeping loft, and walls that open up for natural air circulation provide a Zen-like experience. Located 5 miles from Back Bay."

Photo by Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty

It has been reported the family is considering a move to the New York suburbs, Greenwich, Conn. or Alpine, New Jersey.

Their spectacular home is located at 112 Woodland Road in Brookline, Massachusetts.

One of Massachusetts' most expensive estates just hit the market on Martha's Vineyard for a whopping $65 million. Did we mention it is also the former home of Jackie Kennedy Onassis?

The Aquinnah estate designed by architect Hugh Newell Jacobson known as Red Gate Farm, which was built in 1981, has five bedrooms and five full baths set on a sprawling 340 oceanfront acres, according to Christie's International Real Estate.

The luxe sanctuary is located at the edge of Squibnocket Pond and encompasses more than a mile of Atlantic Ocean beachfront near the famous Cliffs of Gay Head. Onassis purchased the property in 1979 as a summer home and retreat for her family.

Included in the purchase is a 6,456 square foot elegant Cape Cod-style main house where all rooms (except the dining room) overlook the Atlantic Ocean along with a cedar shingled two-story guest home. There are also two freshwater ponds, a vegetable garden, blueberry patch, an outdoor pool, tennis court, boathouse, barn, two garages, a hunting cabin, storage building and three-bedroom caretaker's house and two-bedroom guest/staff apartment.

In 2000, daughter Caroline Kennedy commissioned Deborah Berke, dean of the Yale School of Architecture, to renovate and expand the main residence. “Forty years ago, my mother fell in love with Martha’s Vineyard," Kennedy said in a news release. "When she found Red Gate Farm, it was a perfect expression of her romantic and adventurous spirit. The dunes and ponds and rolling hills of Aquinnah gave her the chance to create a world where she could be so close to nature, close to her family and friends, and, most importantly, close to her beloved books. She even built a fairy treehouse for her grandchildren.”

Here's a look at Red Gate Farm:

How did the opportunity to host "Rock Solid" and "Indoors Out" on the DIY Network come about?

Derek: My cousin is the idea man.

Dean: It only took me 40 years to get that title [laughs].

Derek: To make a long story short, we made a videotape and submitted it to every network and got rejected. DIY took a chance on us and we landed the show, "Rock Solid." Then we got "Indoors Out" and shot 200 shows. We were exhausted from traveling so we decided to take a break and do our own podcast.

Now you have your own podcast "Under Your Roof & In Your Backyard."

Derek: Nothing happens overnight, but our radio experience started way back. The idea had been in the back of our minds for some time and then we decided to go with Cumulus Media.

What are some key things you look for when transforming outdoor space into a luxury oasis?

Derek: One of the biggest things to focus on first at the front of the house is the curb appeal. The whole outdoor experience starts at the front of the house. It's what brings the most value. We do a mixture of concrete with natural stone products. A lot of people are afraid to mix. You can still have the durability, but it gives it color and helps with insulation.

How do you help guide customers in making the best choice for the home?

Dean: I live in a farmhouse in Norwell, so if I decided to go with a contemporary look, it would hurt the value. You have to decide what is the right product for the house.

Derek: Within a situation like that, the problem actually becomes the solution. We find out why they want a certain look, take ideas from that and find a solution without going away from their original idea. It's like marriage counseling [laughs].

What has been one of the biggest mistakes you have seen homeowners make when starting a new project?

Dean: It is very important to find the right people to do the work. Most top companies are booked into the fall and winter. People make the mistake of thinking they will be here to start the project on Monday. If someone can show up three days later, chances are they are not a top company. We tell people to find a top supplier and ask for a referral list. If you find a top supplier, you will educate yourself, too. At Plymouth Quarries, we are a supplier, but also a resource place as well. We have classes, help on design, offer advice and educate them. Education has become a big resource.

Derek: One big mistake people make is putting in a pool. They decide in March they want one and then they want it open by Memorial Day. It turns into an absolute disaster because they pushed it. You really should give yourself a two-year window. A lot goes into not only the planning, but the design. Many people in New England are putting heaters in their pools so they can use it from May to Thanksgiving. It really has to be thought out and planned well in advance.
