One of Miami's premiere luxury penthouses is now on sale for the hefty price of $32.9 million. Situated on the shores of Sunny Isles Beach, the 11,660-square-foot, two-floor penthouse in the 57-story, 192-unit Jade Signature residential tower features seven bedrooms and over nine bathrooms.

The luxury unit was designed in collaboration between Pritzker Prize-winning architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron and famed interior design firm PYR. Leading the design team was French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, who is known for his work in some of the world's nicest hotels, including the Four Seasons George V in Paris and the Savoy Hotel in London.

The opulent penthouse features a number of posh amenities, including unobstructed 360-degree ocean views, expansive living terraces from every room, along with a private elevator, spa, and pool.

The sleek, elegantly designed kitchen features pristine quartz counter tops and top-of-the-line appliances that would make any home chef blush. Also included is a wine bar and a cooler.

Moving further inside, marble lines the floors and countertops of the master bathroom, while the master bedroom features lovely ocean views, a bar, and a double sitting room.

The residence features a 7,570-square-foot terrace, an in-unit gym with a sauna and steam room, walk-in closets, indoor-outdoor kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows and a private parking garage.

The unit is scheduled to be completed in 2017. The buyer also has the option to implement a custom design scheme by Rochon. The residence is listed and developed by Fortune International Group.

Now's your chance to live like an Oscar winner. Tom Hanks, the legendary film actor famous for modern cinema classics like Saving Private Ryan, Cast Away, and Big has listed two adjacent estates in Pacific Palisades, California, for a combined $18 million, according to the New York Post and the Los Angeles Times. The actor is listing the two neighboring properties with his wife Rita Wilson, an actress who recently played a major guest role in the HBO show Girls.

While the two properties can be purchased as a set, they are as different as can be. One was built in a Spanish revival style, while the other is an English traditional construction. The two homes are also available for purchase individually. The Spanish-style home is asking $8.75 million, while the English traditional is asking for $9.25 million.

Provided the homes sell at their listing price, Hanks and Wilson stand to make a healthy profit. The couple purchased the two homes in 2003 and 2007 for a combined $13.1 million.

The 4,000-square-foot Spanish-style home, located at 1223 Amalfi Drive, was built in 1933 and features four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. Elegant design touches include intricate ironwork, wood-beamed ceilings, a paneled dining room, and a sunken living room. Moving outside, the home features a fountain, well-maintained hedges, and various sitting areas that are perfect for entertaining.

The second home up for sale, the English traditional, was built in 1957 and is located at 1213 Amalfi Drive The home stands at a sprawling 7,300 square feet and features an impressive seven bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and a powder room. Amenities include an in-house pub and billiards room with a fireplace, a screening room, and formal living and dining rooms. Both the Spanish- and English-style estates offer picturesque canyon views.

Interestingly enough, the Hollywood power couple also owns a contiguous home on the same street, but that home is not up for sale.

Your top-floor luxury penthouse may feature a swimming pool, rooftop terrace, or even your personal helicopter landing pad, but does it include a service to charge your Tesla? As the market for luxury electric vehicles grows, crafty developers are beginning to add EV or "electric vehicle" charging stations to their lists of more standard amenities in high-end buildings, hoping to snag tech-savvy buyers that have abandoned their gas guzzlers.

According to Mansion Global, a recent study from London-based research company Bloomberg New Energy Finance has concluded that the sales of electric vehicles will hit $41 million by 2040, accounting for a staggering 35 percent of total car sales. Sensing the sea change, charging stations have popped up in a number of developing luxury towers around the U.S.

Coming to New York's trendy TriBeCa neighborhood in 2018, the 46-unit condo at 70 Vestry will feature eight EV charging stations, as well as a resident's garage with an automated parking system. Meanwhile, across the East River in Brooklyn, 610 Warren in Boerum Hill will give residents access to a private garage with 10 EV charging stations. 610 Warren is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2017. In Staten Island, Urby, a 900-unit rental building will offer a parking garage with 300 spaces and EV chargers. The building's eco-friendly features don't stop there. Other amenities include a 5,000-square-foot urban farm, a rooftop apiary with several beehives and a communal kitchen boasting a chef-in-residence.

South Florida also has a number of incoming luxury properties with planned EV charging stations. 3900 Alton, an eight-story condo in Miami Beach with 78 units, will offer several EV charging stations for its residents. a "Tesla house car" will also be available to chauffeur residents to and from the beach club at Nobu Hotel Miami Beach, where residents will retain VIP access. Moving to Miami's South of Fifth neighborhood, Louver House will offer six EV charging stations for the building's 12 residences. On Fisher Island, an isolated island community right off Miami Beach, the luxe condo Plazzo will offer wiring for electric car charging.

Moving to Boston, situated high above the new Four Seasons hotel in the Back Bay, the Private Residences at One Dalton will have a huge 300-car garage that comes with six EV charging stations operated by valet. Once completed in 2018, One Dalton will hold the title of New England's tallest residential tower.

A fabulous $22 million penthouse in Las Vegas is offering its next resident a very nice set of perks: a blazing fast car, access to local events, and a couple unique pieces of fine art.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the 6,230-square-foot condo located at the top of the 59-story Palms Place Hotel will include, among standard amenities, a two-year lease on a Lamborghini Huracan; an original lithograph of Pablo Picasso’s “Le Vieux Roi,” an etching of Salvador Dalí’s “Leaf Woman;” and two free tickets to select events at the nearby T-Mobile Arena for one year, says listing agent Camille Anderson, with Hilton & Hyland. The agent is cooperating with Lisa Sutton and Deven Chase of Sotheby’s International Realty.

The penthouse's current owner Phil Maloof, whose family developed the tower and once owned a majority stake in the Sacramento Kings NBA franchise, tried to unload the ritzy unit for $38 million in 2014 with another brokerage. According to Anderson, the penthouse was listed once again for $29 million in April 2015 before leaving the market last month.

Outside of fast cars and art pieces, the four-bedroom, six-bedroom, 27,000-square-foot penthouse features an impressive suite of multimedia equipment, including an astounding 30 televisions, along with a DJ booth and a number of different sound systems. Moving outside, the penthouse even accommodates a helipad. The perfect space for hosting parties, the unit includes an outdoor entertaining space and a massive 20-person hot tub. The space also features 30-foot-tall ceilings and a private elevator.

The Maloof family completed the 599-unit hotel and condo project in 2008. It was designed by architect Jon Jerde. The penthouse in question has only been inhabited by Mr. Maloof, who says that he's selling his condo in order to move to a house with a yard large enough to play with his German Shepherd. Maloof's main enterprise is a supplement called "Never Too Hungover," which promises to prevent hangovers if consumed before a night of heavy drinking.

Buyers looking to snatch an apartment in Italian architect Renzo Piano's first New York City luxury condo are going to have to pay a pretty penny. Developers behind Piano's condo are looking for a sellout of more than $650 million. According to Curbed, construction is currently underway on the 30-story luxury building. Unfortunately, sales have not yet been made on the Lower Manhattan condo's 115 apartments.

While the building hasn't started construction, pricing was unveiled last month, and the ritzy units at 565 Broome Soho, as the project is known, will start from a paltry $1 million for a studio and will climb to upwards of $20 million for a large four-bedroom apartment.

565 Broome Soho is the product of a collaboration between Bizzi & Partners Development, Aronov Development, and Halpern Real Estate Venture. Based on the various prices of the units, the price per square foot at the 320,000-square-foot project stands at a hefty $3,260. Interestingly, the building will be located close to the entrance to the Holland Tunnel, a fact that was once a point of contention for the developers because of the area's high volume of traffic. Fortunately, it seems that any concerns about the building's location have been sorted out.

According to The Real Deal, while funding the project, the developers landed $450 million from Chinese investors in January, including a $320 million construction loan from Bank of China.

The structure will stretch to 30 stories and feature a 12-story podium base, out of which two towers will sprout beginning on the building's 16th floor. Each of the two towers will feature curved corners to eliminate corner beams and give each resident the best possible, undisturbed view of the famous New York City skyline. Each of 565 Broome Soho's six duplex apartments will each come with a private saltwater pool––an extra touch of class.

The ground floor of the building will contain retail space, along with a private gated driveway. Other amenities include a fitness center, a residents' lounge, and a saltwater pool––luxe elements that are becoming standard in New York's growing number of upscale residential buildings.

Surprisingly, the most expensive home on the market in New Hampshire is really three homes in one.

The luxury property sits on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and stretches for a massive 16.5 acres. The home is owned by the family of Bob Bahre, the founders of the New Hampshire International Speedway, who sold their stake in the company for $340 million in 2008.

According to The Real Deal, the property is comprised of two main homes, one for Bob and his wife Sandy and another for their son, Gary. The two houses total to more than 63,000 square feet. The third structure on the property is an "entertaining barn," where the family has hosted guests, most notably Nascar drivers before big races. Gary also hosts well-known economists during a yearly summit held at the property.

The land where the homes sits was purchased by the Bahre family in the '90s. The family spent roughly five years custom building the home's various structures.

Speaking to Business Insider, Gary Bahre talked about the process of building up the property. “At that time, my parents and I owned the speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire, and we were really active in the business there. That’s why we wanted to buy a space nearby in the first place,” he said. “My parents were hopeful that I would have a family of my own, so they pushed me to build my own home. But my house requires more animation than a 53-year-old bachelor could give it.”

The two houses sit on the edge of the 28-mile Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton, New Hampshire, and comprises 12 bedrooms and 26 bathrooms. Interestingly enough, Gary's home on the property is a near-exact replica of a house belonging to S. Prestley Blake, the founder of the restaurant chain Friendly's. Gary's grandfather used to live near Blake, and Gary fell in love with the house and strove to re-create it for himself.“I was just nuts for it. This house is almost identical, except I reconfigured the garage. He [Blake] was flattered that we appreciated it," Gary said.

Bob and Sarah's house, on the other hand, is styled much more traditionally. It emphasizes symmetrical designs and features more bedrooms than Gary's. The entrance of the house has more dramatic flair, while its various living spaces are more dramatic.

“It’s kind of odd to think that I was fortunate enough to live in what’s considered the most valuable house in the state,” Gary said. “My mom and dad gave me a lot of opportunities, and I’m grateful for that.”

Zaha Hadid Architects' curious design aesthetic has dotted the skylines of the world's greatest cities. We recently previewed two upcoming projects from the firm, a mixed-use tower in Melbourne that resembles a series of stacked vases and features a porous façade that helps reduce solar gain, as well as another mixed-use tower in Qatar that is shaped like a desert hyancinth, a flower indigenous to the area.

Now, Zaha Hadid Design has unveiled its latest endeavor, a new bath collection created in collaboration with Spanish company Porcelanosa. The nine-piece bath collection, called Vitae, is the latest addition to Porcelanosa's Noken line, and its design shares a number of cues and similarities to Zara Hadid's signature style. Vitae includes a toilet, a bidet, shelving, faucets, washbasins, mirrors, and a bathtub inspired by the earth's most essential element, water.

Like the majority of Zaha Hadid's most iconic buildings, each piece in the collection conveys a sense of fluidity. The designs aren't your typical bathroom fare.

They feel abstract and organic in the same way many of the Iraqi-born British architect's buildings do. Each piece was crafted entirely from Spanish manufacturer Porcelanosa's finest porcelain.

According to Curbed, the combination of pieces in a space create a "dynamic, sensual flow." For example, the double sink setup features a basin with "attenuated extensions" (acting as built-in soap dishes) which reach toward a small counter that separate the two.

The interplay between pieces in the collection doesn't stop there. Pieces such as a towel rack, an additional floating shelf, and corresponding mirrors with built-in ledges add to the collections sense connection and fluidity.

The Vitae line is a letter of love to discerning designers looking to furnish the ultimate bathroom. Many of the pieces in the collection are handmade, and is a result of a three-year-long collaboration between Zara Hadid and Porcelanosa. Fittings in the new collection are available in chrome or white powder-coated aluminum.

The growing neighborhood of downtown Brooklyn has become a crossroads between hip urbanites, cool professionals, and young families all looking for an area that ticks several boxes of the modern Brooklyn experience. The newest addition to the Kings County skyline, TEN Arquitectos’ DBCD (Downtown Brooklyn Cultural District) South building at 300 Ashland is nearly complete, and will provide residents with a unique Brooklyn living experience. The new, mixed-use building features 379 apartment units, as well as a number of cultural tenants, including the performing arts organization 651 Arts, MoCADA, Brooklyn Academy of Music cinemas, and a brand-new branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. This gives residents easy access to local art and culture without even leaving their building.

According to arch daily, the architecturally unique tower is split into three volumes, a center circulation spine and two flanking volumes, where the building's luxury apartments are located. The outside layer of the tower is layered in perforated aluminum, an aesthetic choice that will allow for the building to pick up the colors of the surrounding streets and the sky.

The downtown Brooklyn tower rises from the southern section of a triangular site at the intersection of Flatbush, Ashland, and Lafayette avenues in downtown Brooklyn. Its slim footprint and profile allows for a good portion of the site to be devoted to a new, 15,000-square-foot public plaza, which will work to further enrich the area.

In addition to the public plaza, the building podium is comprised of a series of outdoor landscaped terraces that create a series of serene public spaces screened from the noise of Flatbush Avenue. These smaller public spaces will be visually connected to the Grand Plaza. The terraces will also allow for easy access to the building on multiple levels. It also allows for the opportunity for outdoor programming like film screenings, dance performances, or farmers markets.

In addition to the tower's residential and public spaces, the ground floor of the building will house 50,000 square feet of cultural space and 43,000 square feet of prime retail space along Flatbush Avenue.

The majority of the 32-story tower will be residential, featuring studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. As far as amenities go, the building will also feature a 24-hour gym and an outdoor roof deck on the 29th floor, designed by James Corner Field Operations.

Seattle's surging real estate market and a stunning redesign have just catapulted a classic piece of architecture to the city's highest listing price. "Sam Hill Mansion," a neoclassical mansion once owned by its namesake, businessman and philanthropist Samuel Hill, is now the most expensive listing in the evergreen state's most populous city.

According to Curbed Seattle, while Hill only spent a fraction of his life in the city, the intrepid businessman made an indelible impact on the region during the early decades of the 20th century. His most notable projects include the Maryhill Museum of Art and Maryhill Stonehenge. His most well-known building, however is the iconic Sam Hill Mansion at 814 E. Highland Drive. The sprawling residence was designed by architecture firm Hornblower & Marshall around 1908.

During his time in the growing city, Hill would use the property to host globe-trotting dignitaries, and while the exterior looks approximately the same as it did back in the early 20th century, much of the interior has changed significantly. The interior of the mansion has undergone an extensive overhaul thanks to its current owners. Thanks to Stuart Silk Architects and interior design from Garret Cord Werner Architects and Interior Designers and landscape design by Richard Hartledge, the modern version of Sam Hill Mansion represents a slick and cohesive fusion of Old World styling and deeply modern touches.

This new design philosophy can be seen in every room of the renovated mansion. In the dining room, the home's original steel beams have been exposed throughout the length of the property, giving the room a touch of modernity. Elsewhere, in the home's master suite, the original floors and fireplace remain, giving residents a warm link to the home's storied past. Moving outside, gas-lit lamps illuminate the grounds with a warm, sepia glow similar to what Samuel Hill experienced when he himself traversed the property.

This latest renovation has helped the property attain its new title as the city's most expensive listing. In 2008, when the house was last on the market, it was listed for only $4,750,000 before being delisted. Right now, the property is asking an incredible $15,000,000, easily seizing the crown as Seattle's most expensive listing, besting its nearest competition by a healthy $3 million.

One of the biggest eccentricities of the the home is its gym, which was converted from the old horse stable. One can still see where the huge stable doors once stood and the tall openings in the wall from which the horses looked out. The gym also includes a spa room with a steam shower and sauna.

Also included with the house is the oldest working sundial in Seattle, an artifact that's also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house itself also enjoys a spot on that list.

What's next for Zaha Hadid Architects? After the sudden and tragic death of founder Zaha Hadid in March, it has been revealed that the award-winning architect has left behind a treasure trove of designs yet to grace the skylines of the world's greatest cities. One of the more interesting designs is a quirky mixed-use tower in Qatar recently unveiled for the first time. The soon-to-be-built tower will be located in Lusail, a coastal city roughly 13 miles north of Doha, the country's capital and most populous city.

The beguiling tower, which will stand at 38 stories and will be roughly 753,00 square feet, will house 120 luxury apartments and a 200-room hotel. The mixed-use structure is being hailed as one of the future highlights of the city's newly developing Marina District.

By far the most interesting thing about the tower is its unconventional design. Its peculiar shape harbors a particular significance to the region. The skyscraper was designed to resemble the form of a desert hyancinth, a flowering plant that's native to Qatar and the rest of the Persian Gulf.

Before her untimely death, Hadid spoke briefly about the building and its naturalist design. "We often look at nature’s systems when we work to create environments; at her unrivaled logic and coherence,” the architect said in a statement about the tower. Its design features a nine-pointed flower with a bulging base that will shield visitors and residents from the elements as they make their way into the building.

The new tower will feature many elements indicative of traditional Arabic architecture. The building's exterior features a skin that imbues the structure with a feeling of fluidity, while also resembling a mashrabiya screen, the traditional carved-wood latticework seen throughout the region. “Fluidity is embedded within the region’s architectural heritage and traditions,” Hadid explained. “Continuous calligraphic and geometric patterns flow from domes to ceilings, ceilings to walls, walls to floors, establishing seamless relationships and blurring distinctions between architectural elements.” The Lusail building is scheduled to be completed by 2020.

For those looking for some fun, the building features a billiards room and a large library curated by world-renowned publisher Assouline. Elsewhere, a comfy 18-seat screening room boasts top-of-the-line projection equipment and a 220-inch screen, delivering a true cinematic experience in residence. Also present among the amenities is an executive boardroom and a 75-foot, two-lane indoor swimming pool and separate Jacuzzi. A labyrinth of spas, saunas, and massage-therapy rooms sit nearby. Managed by The Wright Fit, the massage rooms offer Swedish, deep-tissue, sports, pre/postnatal, shiatsu, and Thai techniques.

The building and its many amenity spaces were designed by Rafael Viñoly, who infamously based the concept for the property off a pricey trash can. Its various enclaves are built with the finest building materials, including mahogany, hand-blown glass, marble, and travertine.

It looks like reality show starlet and hotel heiress Paris Hilton is following in her great-grandfather's rather large footsteps. The popular socialite turned businesswoman is opening a self-branded line of luxury hotels in the cities of New York, Las Vegas and Dubai.

The news shouldn't come as a surprise to those following the exploits of the former Simple Life star. The 35-year-old Hilton has quietly build a burgeoning empire as a crafty tech investor. According to Forbes, Her line of luxury fragrants, handbags, shoes, and watches, in addition to her 50 self-titled worldwide boutiques have netted her an incredible amount of wealth. Sales from her diverse set of perfumes alone have made the former reality star $1.5 billion.

This also isn't Hilton's first foray into the luxury hotel business. A few years ago, she helped to design the Paris Beach Club (pictured above) for Century Properties' Azure Urban Resort Residence in Manila. A second Paris Beach Club at the Azure Urban Resort Residences in Parañaque, north of Manila, recently broke ground. Azure North, where the second Beach Club will be located, will have themed towers named after Hilton’s favorite beaches and seaside resorts, including: Bali, Kauai, St. Barths, and Barbado.

Paris' recent moves as a hotelier see the reality star following the same path as her great-grandfather Conrad Hilton, who established the Hilton Hotel brand. Her father Rick Hilton further grew the brand with his high-end Hilton & Hyland luxury real estate firm.

With this recent news, plus her incredibly savvy moves in the worlds of technology and fashion, it's clearly time to take Paris Hilton seriously. As she recently told the L.A. Times, “A lot of people, when they saw The Simple Life, assumed that was who I was in real life. Now, they see me in a boardroom and how I am and what I’ve accomplished. I think I’ve proven myself…Success is something that fulfills me and makes me happy and proud.”

In December of last year, Zaha Hadid Architects unveiled their beguiling designs for a new mixed-use tower in Melbourne's central business district. Now, coinciding with the news that the building, which is scheduled to be erected on 600 Collins street, has received approval from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and planning, the City of Melbourne and the Office of the Victorian Government Architect, the crafty architectural firm has released a new crop of images of the to be completed tower, as well as an in-depth animation that explores the skyscraper both inside and out.

Partnering with local firm Plus Architecture, the 54-story mixed-use skyscraper will be Zaha Hadid Architects first in Melbourne. The completed tower will contain 70,000 square meters (750,000 square feet) of premium office, retail, residential, and public space, including 420 luxury apartments.

According to ArchDaily, the tower's peculiar "stacked vase" design was inspired by the towers mixed-use heritage and will be supported by an "elegant colonnade of sculptural, curved columns" that "embody and emulate the finest examples of historic architecture" in the area. Each "vase" that makes up the tower slants inward, providing additional open space at its base. Hoping to enrich the area, a good portion of the building will be accessible to the public, including a plaza, which will be accessible 24 hours a day.

Beyond a purely aesthetic choice, the porous façade of the building works to reduce solar gain, allowing the Zaha Hadid Architects new building to use 50 percent less energy than a typical mixed-use tower of its size. The tower will also employ a high-performance glazing system, energy efficient central cooling, high efficiency lighting and greywater reuse system to further reduce energy consumption.

600 Collins street will further encourage eco-friendly choices by connecting directly to the city's transportation system via a pedestrian link to the Southern Cross railway station and the tram network. If that wasn't enough, the building will also feature 350 bicycle parking spaces and bays for electric and shared cars, giving commuters a bevy of options to stay green.

“This is an inspired project that will enrich the city, creating a new public plaza and amenities as well as improve connectivity for all pedestrians,” said a spokeswoman for Landream, the project’s developers. “We are proud to be delivering Zaha Hadid’s design for Melbourne and will continue to work closely with her team to make it a reality.”

Hollywood mega-star Johnny Depp previously spent his time away from tinseltown unwinding in the South of France, but his time there is likely coming to an end. The actor is relisting his French slice of paradise for around $55.5 million, more than double its previous asking price.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the sprawling estate, which used to be an actual village, features more than a dozen buildings and first went on the market in June of last year with Côte d’Azur Sotheby’s International Realty for roughly $26 million. After being on the market for a while, the listing was taken down, and is now in the hands of Rick Hilton of Hilton & Hyland and Michaël Zingraf of France-based Michaël Zingraf Real Estate. The two firms selling the house are exclusive affiliates of Christie's International Real Estate.

According to Hilton, the Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice in Wonderland star thought the property was priced too low for what it could offer potential buyers. “Mr. Depp feels that €50 million is the appropriate price for this asset,” he said. Hilton also noted that the estate is perfect for buyers seeking extra privacy, and that several billionaires have expressed interest in the property.

About 17 minutes away from the French Riviera resort town of Saint-Tropez, France, Depp's newly relisted village stretches for roughly 36 acres and was originally purchased by the Hollywood actor in the year 2000. He spent $10 million renovating and restoring its various buildings. The village's church was converted into a guesthouse, with the confessional serving as a rustic wardrobe. Elsewhere on the property, Depp has built a restaurant with a fully-equipped professional kitchen. The estate also features a laundry room and a garage, both of which have been remodeled to resemble local businesses. The actor spent many summers on the property with his previous wife, French performer Vanessa Paradis, and their two children.

The main house of the estate is 4,300 square feet and houses five bedrooms and an art studio. An ode to his days playing Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Depp's main house also features a custom wine cave with a pirate motif. The space is filled with creepy skulls and brightly colored scarves. Other amenities include two swimming pools, as well as a gym. One of the more eccentric amenities on the property is a private skate park built for Johnny Depp's teenage son. The estate's several guest houses are scattered across its acreage. Also included is a covered wagon that has been outfitted with a bathroom and kitchen.

Longtime "Today" show co-anchor and media personality Matt Lauer is making big moves in New York real estate. Just a short while after snapping up veteran actor Richard Gere’s waterfront Hamptons estate, America’s favorite newsman is listing his lovely Sag Harbor home for $17.995 million, according to The Wall Street Journal and listing agent Susan Breitenbach of the Corcoran Group.

The picturesque gated estate features a sprawling six-bedroom house built by Matt Lauer and his wife Annette around 2001. According to agent Breitenbach, the home was designed by architect Daniel Romualdez and sits on 25 acres of land. The 8,000-square-foot home is built in a traditional style, with shingles covering the exterior of the house. Outside of the estate’s main house, the grounds also feature a 70-foot-long heated outdoor pool, a pool house, and a tennis court. There is also another building lot on the property for a guesthouse, but the listing agent has noted that she is unsure whether the property can be subdivided.

While in the process of selling this estate, Lauer is also in the process of purchasing "Strongheart Manor," Richard Gere’s bayfront estate, which is located around seven miles away in the sleepy village of North Haven. That property had been listed for $36.5 million, but Breitencach has declined to reveal the home’s final sale price. Strongheart Manor, which stretches for six acres, first went on the market in 2013 for the firm asking price of $65 million. The listing agent relisted the property about two months ago, where Lauer was able to snatch it up.

The anchor, who will host NBC’s coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics next month, is also listing a three-bedroom cottage that sits right in front of a pond in Southampton. The home has a listing price of $3.95 million, and is also being sold by Breitenbach, the listing agent of both Strongheart Manor and Lauer’s former home in Sag Harbor. The news anchor paid $2.5 million for the house in 2009. surprisingly, not all of Lauer’s property in the area is on the market. "Bright Side Farm," his nearly 40-acre equestrian facility in Water Mill is not up for sale, but at the rate that the TV personality has been selling and buying property, that could very well change in a few months.

Imagine steeping out of the arid heat of Dubai and immediately into a misty recreation of a tropical rainforest. The upcoming Rosemont Hotel & Residences Dubai (née The Rosemont Towers), designed by ZAS Architects, is planning to recreate a 75,000-square-foot man-made outdoor rainforest, allowing hotel guests to explore a drastically different climate in the middle of the UAE.

According to Curbed, the proposed attraction features true-to-life touches like an artificial beach, streams, and trees that spray a cool mist that water the other plants in the attraction. The newly-released renderings of the project reveal a very faithful reimagining of a real jungle environment. In the renderings, lush trees stretch into the sky as vines coil and drape around them. The verdant fauna is contrasted by the carefully placed walkways and bridges that allow guests to get an up-close look at their natural surroundings. According to press materials, there will also be "a sensory rain system [that] creates a 360-degree experience, simulating the sensation of being surrounded by rainfall without actually getting wet." Thankfully, you won't leave this rainforest drenched with rain and sweat.

Careful eyes can even spot what looks to be at least one dinosaur far in the background, giving us the impression that there will be elements of wonder and fantasy tied into the mostly realistic-looking attraction.

The hotel at large, the Rosemont Hotel & Residences Dubai, is a 47-story tower resort that consists of two towers that are connected with a five-story podium that accommodates 450 hotel rooms, a sky lobby, sky pool, and a number of lovely residential amenities. The hotel will be located off Sheikh Road in Al Thanyah First in Dubai. The Rosemont Hotel will comprise an area of around 13,000 square meters, while housing a total of 106,000 square meters.

“The architecture of the building will represent today, in a city where smart and chic structures have contributed greatly to the destination. The intention of creating an active frontage on Sheikh Zayed Road side is achieved by a common podium proportioning the towers over as a pedestal, as modernism dominates the design,” says the company. Zas Architects and Kieferle & Partner hope that the new development will become a prominent destination in the area.

Outspoken billionaire Mark Cuban is bringing the magic of cinema to a cushy New York City neighborhood in need of movie screens. Landmark Theatre, which is owned by Cuban and partner Todd Wanger, will open a 30,000-square-foot cinema at Durst's Via 57 West, the beguilingly-shaped rental tower in Midtown West.

According to The Real Deal, the new Landmark Theatre won't simply be a run-of-the-mill multiplex. The upcoming business at Via 57 West will feature eight screens and will be outfitted with a number of ritzy amenities, including leather electronic reclining seats, state-of-the-art laser projection technology, and a posh bar made from fine Italian marble. Beyond enjoying the latest movies, the theater will also be available for post-screening parties and other events. According to Durst Organization president Jonathan Durst, the theater will be the first to open in the area in 10 years. “This area was in dire need of a great movie theater,” says Durst.

Via 57 West, which was designed by Bjarke Ingels, already features the American Kennel Club dog-care center and Livanos Restaurant Group. In total, the building features 709 residential units and is located between West 57th and West 58th streets and 11th and 12th avenues.

The pyramid-shaped Via 57 West is appealingly designed, inside and out. A sprawling staircase at the center of the lobby is surrounded by bricks that mimic the herringbone pattern seen in the structure's terraces. Other highlights include a children's playroom, a game room, a screening room, and a poker room. The residence also features a lap pool, a basketball court, and a shared living room, where tenants can step out onto a sun deck and take in views of New York's scenic Hudson River.

Across the building's 709 units, there are 178 different floor plans, which range from surprisingly spacious studios to four-bedroom apartments. Nearly three-quarters of the residence's apartments are treated to views of the Hudson River and the West Side Highway, while a third of the units overlook a 22,000-square-foot courtyard. Some units even feature direct access to the building's courtyard.

Mark Cuban, famous for his role as co-host on ABC's investor-themed reality series Shark Tank is also the owner of the successful NBA franchise The Dallas Mavericks. His art-house theater chain, which also owns the Landmark Sunshine on the Lower East Side had been searching New York City up and down for spaces to house the theater, ranging from 25,000 to 50,000 square feet, according to the The Real Deal.

MAD Architects is bringing its eye-popping flair for design to the U.S. for the very first time. The celebrated architecture firm and Gruen Associates have recently revealed their latest endeavor, 8600 Wilshire. The upcoming Beverly Hills residential project promises to demonstrate MAD founder Ma Yansong's core design philosophy: "to coalesce nature and community into a living environment among high-density cities.'

From the outside, 8600 Wilshire resembles a small white hill and features an 18-unit residential village perched on top of commercial space. A water-efficient "living wall" of native, drought-tolerant succulents and vines wraps around the village, providing a natural screen for residents in the project's condominiums. At ground level, along Wilshire boulevard, the wall of vines lifts to reveal glass storefronts. The effect is reminiscent of privacy hedges and helps to conceal the elevated courtyard.

The "hillside village" inside offers a number of different housing types, including three townhouses, five villas, two studios, and eight condominiums. The residence smartly divides public and private areas, fostering a sense of community while not completely eliminating individual space. While the villas appear opaque from the street, they reveal a transparent façade facing the private garden, townhouse, and condominium units, which each have individual balcony-patios.

The project also features a hidden elevated courtyard accented by a canopy of trees and other native plants. At its center is a water feature that flows into a secondary reflecting pool in the lobby below, giving residents a small oasis of serenity in the hustle and bustle of the city.

8600 Wilshire broke ground this May. The project is recognized in the “design concept” category at the 45th Annual Los Angeles Architectural Awards, hosted by the Los Angeles Business Council.

This beguiling, Frank Gehry-designed residence, which sits right on the shore of an exclusive stretch of Malibu Beach, is now up for grabs. The centerpiece of the house is a massive spiral staircase that stretches up from the bottom level. The property also features three levels of generously-sized patio and plenty of large windows and skylights. Beyond immediate beach access, the home also boasts a lap pool and a full tennis court.

Now's your chance to live in a rare piece of architectural history. Recently, the largest of four Frank Lloyd Wright-designed houses in New Jersey has hit the market for the first time in over 20 years.

According to Curbed, the famed James B. Christie house sits on seven acres of peaceful woodlands and embodies the late designer's Usonian concept, which embraced simplicity, the use of natural materials, and a strong connection to the outdoors.

The unique structure, built from cypress wood, brick, and glass, features an L-shape plan common in Wright's designs. The living and dining areas lie perpendicular to a string of bedrooms, while the kitchen sits cozily in the corner. The house also features the original built-in seating, tables, and chairs. Glass walls also give the house plenty of light and pleasant views of the surrounding woodlands.

The original 2,000-square-foot house was expanded to around 2,700-square-feet in 1994 with the help of a local firm and Frank Lloyd Wright preservation specialist Tarantino Studio. During the renovation, a master bedroom suite that was part of the home's original plans was added. The added suite includes a lively sitting area and its own brick fireplace.

The house is on the market for $2,200,000.

According to Curbed, The new app, which will be available on iPhones and iPads, will act as a central hub for the user's HomeKit-enabled products, including connected thermostats, locks, lighting, security cameras, and more. The app will even feature a "Favorites" section, which will give users the ability to save different "scenes:" combinations of preferred settings for each room, which include room temperature, lighting, sound, and more. A feature called automation will allow users to set certain settings to be automatically applied depending on the time of day. For example, your home's air conditioning can be set to turn on an hour before you usually get home from work, ensuring that your home always feels cool during the balmy summer months.

The new app will be a godsend for homeowners looking to control every detail of their sprawling villas and vacation homes.

The Waldorf Astoria, one of Gotham's most celebrated landmarks, is about to go through the biggest change in its history. The classic hotel will be closing for three years while the majority of the property's nearly 1,400 rooms are transformed into luxury apartments. Those hoping to stay in the Waldorf in the future shouldn't feel too dismayed, however. According to the Huffington Post, 300 to 500 rooms of the hotel will remain available to travelers hoping to still experience one of New York's seminal travel experiences. The hotel's upcoming transformation shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. In 2015, the classic property was purchased by China’s Anbang Insurance Group for nearly $2 billion.

“We have not finalized any plans in terms of the scope, nature, and details of the renovation project or the exact timing and duration of the hotel’s closure. We are currently developing conceptual plans and will share additional details once those plans are finalized,” a U.S.-based spokesman for Anbang says.

The landmark hotel, once the tallest in the world, holds a special place in the heart of New Yorkers. It pioneered the concept of room service and was the birthplace of iconic brunch dishes like the Waldorf salad and eggs Benedict. The hotel also served as the home away from home for every U.S. president visiting New York since Herbert Hoover. Additionally, the legendary Marilyn Monroe spent a year living within its walls.

Feeling pious? Now’s your chance to own a piece of Italian architecture with a religious past. Convento Il Chiostro, a monastery in central Italy, is now enjoying a second life as a sprawling vacation home in the Tuscan countryside.

Retired publisher and aspiring architect Nicola Gandini and his wife Giovanna bought the dilapidated complex 26 years ago and spent a handful of years transforming the 17th century structure into a picturesque home away from home.

“I was fascinated by the building’s originality, location, and adaptability,” Mr. Gandini says.

According to the New York Times, the distinctive building has an area of 24,750 square feet and sits on 23 acres of land, which include a vegetable garden, woods, and a meadow. Walking in, guests are treated to the home’s living room, which formerly served as the monastery’s formal entrance hall. The nine-meter-high ceiling gives the room a particular sense of grandeur.

Touches like the warm terracotta floors and the Italian frescoes that adorn the walls are all original from the Monastery; so are the massive fireplaces present in every room of the home.

From the living room, a side entrance leads to a three-sided cloister that encloses an open courtyard with a small hedge maze and fountain. The master bedroom and billiards room enjoy views of the courtyard.

Back inside, wooden doors open to a terrace and lawn that boast sweeping views of Tuscany, including the small town of Sesto Fiorentino.

In March, the house went to auction for 6.5 million euros, or $5.8 million, but did not sell. The house will go up for auction once again in the fall, and will be priced at 4.9 million euros.

A major selling point of the property is its surprising versatility. “It can easily be divided into four apartments,” says Jeremy Onslow-Macaulay, managing director of Casa & Country, a real estate agency based in Tuscany and with offices in London.

Convento Il Chiostro boasts both the tranquility of the countryside, while providing convenient access to the big city. Florence and the city’s airport are both around a half an hour’s drive away.

"It's a beautiful compound for a large family," said listing broker Marcia Altman of Brown Harris Stevens, who declined to confirm the identity of her client. "It's very special."

The beautiful, 6,500-square-foot house boasts three stories and picturesque views of the bay, coffered ceilings, a formal dining room, french doors, and a large master wing with a balcony.

The house also features incredible accommodations for guests. The light-house shaped guest house has a winding staircase that leads to a great space for entertaining.

Interestingly enough, the house is the second to exist on the site. The estate was rebuilt after the previous house burnt down when it was struck by a bold of lightning during an intense storm in the 1800s.

The now 92-year-old Charles Lazarus founded the toy brand in 1948 in the midst of the post-World War II baby boom. The company initially operated it out of his childhood home. The Toys "R" Us brand now has 730 international stores and owns the iconic New York toy store F.A.O. Schwarz. The flagship Toys "R" Us location in NYC's Times Square features a indoor ferris wheel and is one of the neighborhood's biggest attraction.

Most of us don’t have the luxury of curating our homes to our every little whim, but Butler has created a space that is truly an extension of himself. The actor created the funky feat in interior design with production designer Elvis Restaino, who has a background in building commercial sets for television shows, movies and restaurants. Restaino spent four years working on personalizing the loft with Butler, and the duo have created a fantastical living space like none other for the actor.

The loft is filled with muddy beiges and browns inspired by sights seen in salvage yards. Butler and Restaino spent time finding dilapidated objects that they could reclaim, restore, and mold into their vision. The result is a rustic, masculine space that personifies the ruggedness of the actor.

The space was previously a white gallery that had been compartmentalized for a family, but Restaino and architect Alexander Gorlin completely remodeled it for Butler. The goal was to not just to make a space that looked “lived in” but considerably aged, used and worn. The ceiling beams are painted in a faux wood grain while the loft’s columns were constructed out of wood and chicken wire. A big focal point in the loft is a large mural on the ceiling, which was painted on canvas and covered with plexiglass aged to resemble dirty glass tiles. Finishing off the mural are custom-made, tiny glass stars.

Restaino says, “If I blindfolded you and set you in the center of the apartment, you would know it’s [Gerard Butler’s] place without ever knowing him, because of the design.”

The hedge fund manager and his wife recently put their massive 11,000-square-foot home—the most expensive condo in Brooklyn—on the market for $32 million, after a peculiar incident convinced them it was time to sell.

After months of deliberating, and after an earlier attempt at listing the apartment was taken down due to seller's remorse, the final straw was laid when both Mr. Leaf and his wife were at home for several hours without realizing the other was there. The incident revealed just how unsuitable the sprawling space was for just two people. “It's just a little bit too spread out," said Leaf.

The condo—located at One Brooklyn Bridge Park—is the priciest ever listed in the borough and is a combination of at least nine units spanning the 10th, 11th, and 12th floors of the building. In comparison, the most expensive apartment ever sold in the borough went for $7 million in 2008.

Looking at the massive apartment and its list of amenities, It's easy to see how the couple could lose each other in there. The apartment features six bedrooms, six bathrooms and two half baths, along with a gym, a rock-climbing wall, a screening room, and a 3,500-bottle wine room. The apartment also takes advantage of DUMBO's startling views of the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, and much of Lower Manhattan. Outside, the condo boasts a 75-foot-long terrace complete with a barbecue, sound system, irrigated plant boxes and a dwarf peach tree.

The honor of the most expensive apartment ever listed in New York City as a whole goes to a 21,500-square foot Midtown triplex at 550 Madison Ave, which was listed at $150 million.

The highly-priced luxury condo is a part of Cherit Group’s plan to transform Sony Corp’s former U.S. headquarters at 550 Madison Ave into luxury residences. The new triplex, which takes up the 33^rd through 35^th floors, will have eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a spa, and a wine room.

And while the price of the new luxury condo is certainly attention-grabbing, it remains to be seen if any haute buyers will actually be willing to pay for such a highly-priced unit. So far, the highest price ever paid for a luxury condo in the city only stands $100.5 million. The original asking price for that unit, a duplex penthouse at One57 tower, was originally set at $115 million.

According to Jonathan Miller, president of New York appraiser Miller Samuel Inc, builders are offering their most luxurious units at increasingly high prices as a way of standing out from the crowd. They’re trying to test the upper limits of what ultra-rich investors are willing to pay for property in the city.

“No one knows where the ceiling is and they’re trying to find it,”Said Nancy Packes, a marketing and design consultant to New York residential builders. According to data compiled by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, 2,386 newly built luxury condos will be listed for sale in Manhattan in 2015, which is the most on record.

San Francisco is a whelp of a city compared to mega metropolises like New York and London — The city has less than a million people compared to New York’s 8 million — but that didn’t stop the tech-minded town from placing on the top 5 list of locations being invaded by ultra-rich real estate buyers.

According to the Global Luxury Residential Real Estate Report 2015 from Sotheby’s, San Francisco made the exclusive list of cities where the super wealthy (The 211,275 people in the world who own $30 Million in assets) are buying the most property. San Francisco follows only New York, London, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles on Sotheby's list.

San Francisco’s appeal to ultra-rich buyers seems to be the city's unique lifestyle compared to the other wealthy enclaves on the list. According to Sotheby’s, the "UHNW" individuals (ultra high net worth) that live in the bay area are significantly younger than the general average of the group, at 56.

The uptick in the city’s luxury real estate market can also be attributed to an influx of wealthy foreigners. Sotheby’s writes, “After the recession, real estate in San Francisco has seen accelerated growth. The strong performance of the Bay Area’s economy led to affluent individuals profiting from appreciation in stocks and an influx of foreign buyers, increasing the demand for luxury homes in San Francisco. For younger UHNW individuals, the appeal of the San Francisco lifestyle, which differs significantly from that found in Los Angeles, is proving to be increasingly attractive.”

Sotheby’s report also highlighted that San Francisco hasn’t reached the ceiling of its luxury real estate boom. The city’s prosperous and ever-growing tech industry will likely lead to continued economic growth. Sotheby’s writes, “The youth of this city and its recent rise to affluence means that luxury residential properties are still priced lower than in some of the bigger markets - the most expensive property sold in 2014 was US$14 million, although the higher list prices of numerous other properties suggest an optimistic outlook for the future."
