Dinnerstein was accompanied by long-time friends, Pat Riley and Laura Males, both notably attired. Martel Russell, a retired F-15 Air Force Pilot added to the eclectic mix, along with a few other out-of-state guests. The VIP guests were invited to a private yacht party aboard the $8 million 127’ Super yacht, "No Bada Bees," brokered for sale at the show.

“It’s an absolutely gorgeous yacht,” Dinnerstein said. "And so is the West Palm Beach waterfront," Caracciolo proudly added as she pointed out over the starboard deck. Riley, founder of Florida-based cosmetics company, Clientele Beauty, and Males, a public relations consultant, gave tacit approval with delicate nods.

Owner Kimberly Glaser, an informative and gracious host, deftly addressed US trade policies, the stock market and the White House, as we all sipped Dom Perignon and Woodford Reserve Bourbon between hors d’oeuvres and opinions. Russell, who flew two tours in the Iraq War, added interesting viewpoints to the conversation.

Caracciolo and I, Haute Residence Partners in West Palm Beach, were there as Brand Ambassadors, promoting the Haute Living and Haute Residence brand in the ‘VIP Experience’ Lounge. New show owners, Informa Exhibitions, had to be pleased with their maiden voyage of the 33rd annual PBIBS (Palm Beach International Boat Show).

Informa, who recently negotiated a 10-year agreement with Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, kicked off this year’s gala featuring $1.2 billion in yachts and marine merchandise. The mood was festive and upbeat and the weather cooperated, as tens of thousands of attendees flocked to the annual pilgrimage along the West Palm Beach waterfront. Visitors from New York, Boston, Nantucket, Annapolis, LA, Detroit, Chicago, Raleigh, Charleston and Toronto, just to name a few cities outside Florida, were in attendance.

Downtown restaurants were buzzing with patrons and the food and social cocktails flowed freely. "Bradley's," a popular local outdoor restaurant located at ground-zero, just outside the show perimeter, was a bee-hive of activity throughout the day and into the evening. But don’t let the 7pm daily closing-time of the Show give you the impression that the docks were quiet after dusk. To the contrary, many private VIP-guest activities just begin in the evening.

They call me ‘Peanut.’ I reside in the tropical waters of the Atlantic, in West Palm Beach, Florida, between Singer Island and Palm Beach Island. My full name is ‘Peanut Island.’

I’m a small man-made island—yet everything I’ve told you about me is true. I was created in 1918 as a result of the dredging of the Lake Worth Inlet (aka the Palm Beach Inlet). I grew from my original 10-acre size, to my current 88-acre girth from the continued dredging and ongoing maintenance of the Inlet and Intracoastal Waterway.

I was named after the peanut oil that I originally stored here. I continue to be the spoil-site for on-going dredging, but the Port Authority has made my perimeter available to the public as an enjoyable multi-purpose park.

I provide swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, boating and hiking activities for all my friends who visit. I provide relaxing picnic and Bar-B-Q areas. All my friends love to hang out together and enjoy the clear blue Atlantic waters and there’s usually a party of boaters here every weekend.

I’m proud to say I have a pretty noble history as a protector of the President. In 1961, when the Cold War was percolating, I let JFK build a nuclear bunker here in case of a nuclear attack.

He visited a couple of times to familiarize himself with the facility, but, fortunately, never had to use it. Rumor has it he and Jackie stored their water skis here as the area provides fantastically smooth waters for skiing. It was later closed in 1963 after his assassination but I still provide walking tours through the facility today.

With a slightly larger population than Wellington, this town has experienced a surge in growth in recent years. The small community of Stuart, just north of Jupiter is purported to be ‘the Sailfish Capital of the World.” No doubt about it, the fishing is great in Jupiter.

Known for its iconic Jupiter Lighthouse and Museum, the 120-acre protected parcel is operated by the Loxahatchee River Historical Society, while the scenic treasure is protected by the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management. As the Lighthouse Museum website reads, “this is one of only three Outstanding Natural Areas in the country…found throughout the West, Alaska and Florida…standing in stature with our National Parks, National Forests and National Wildlife Refuges.” No wonder Jupiter residents find it such a popular area to call home.
